Every so often an artist comes along that needs to be paid attention to, regardless of their genre. Boston-based singer/songwriter Adam Jensen, who has been feature on FNT before (HERE), is one of those artists.
His debut EP “Head on a String” showcases his phenomenal voice and ability to master so many sounds. All five (5) songs on the EP were written by Jensen, except “Lost Without You” which he co-wrote with Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20) and Nashville radio DJ, Dave Harris. “Lost Without You” was produced by Grammy Award nominee Aaron Johnson (The Fray). “Monsters” was produced by Barrett Yeretsian, best known for producing Christina Perri’s multi-platinum selling single “Jar of Hearts” and is absolutely on the same level. Adam then teamed up to co-produce with the former Boston Music Award “Producer of the Year” winner, Benny Grotto, on “Cannonball” and “Redemption Man” and Boston-based producer Taylor Barefoot on “Dead Man Walking.”
The EP is now available on iTunes and is a must buy for any music fan. Talent is talent. Currently it is at #9 on the singer/songwriter charts and climbing.
Alternative, Chill | Chrome Sparks – Marijuana (Haywyre Piano Cover)

Haywyre is one of the artist we imagine is going to have an incredible year for 2013. His song per week with Caliber Records is just around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited for him. In anticipation, Haywyre handed out this delectable piano cover of Chrome Sparks’ “Marijuana.” Though only a few minutes long, this cover really gives you an insight into Haywyre’s composing abilities.

Alternative, Electronic, Indie | Passion Pit – Carried Away (Viceroy Remix)

Viceroy makes the winter months that much easier for those of us living in the frigid North. Injecting his Summertime, All The Time atitude in Passion’s Pit’s popular hit, “Carried Away”, off their recent album, Gossamer, the Cali party starter keeps the foundation but adds his uptempo electric punch. Don’t forget to wish Viceroy a happy birthday tomorrow on his social liks below!
Alternative, Chill, Indie, Pop, Videos | Connor Zwetsch – All That I Feel (Video)

Easily one of favorite my singer/songwriters, and close friend of Fresh New Tracks, Connor Zwetsch releases her newest emotionally-charged track. On “All That I Feel”, Connor’s lyrics are deeper than I’ve ever seen, and her voice is better than ever. The video isn’t anything special or overly dramatic, but with a track like this, it doesn’t need to be. I can’t say enough about Connor’s songwriting skills in this song. In a world where every artist is out here editing their voice, or using autotune, Connor is a breath of fresh air. Her natural sound is exactly what mainstream music is missing. Alternative, Indie, Pop | Jon Bellion – LIFE [Music Video]

Since Visionary’s Jon Bellion released his first single, “Paper Plane“, a few weeks back, I’ve been trying to classify and compare his music. A fluid blend of indie, pop, r&b, alternative, and pure innovation? Death Cab for Cutie meets John Legend meets Kanye? After pulling my thoughts in opposing directions I’ve come to the conclusion there is no classification and there is no comparison. Jon Bellion is authentic, unique, sound, and extremely talented. Captivating his audience with a distinguished voice, the kid also produces and composes he majority of his own music.
Bewildered by the simple things in LIFE, Bellion shares a story about a young man trying to figure out what he needs to progress and survive. Although I was a bit skeptic when I didn’t see GRVTY behind the camera on this one, director Jeremy Peel proves his skill and delineates this song perfectly. JB’s all original project, Translations Through Speakers will be dropping before years end.

Genre is not a word in Aer’s vocabulary. The combination of sounds they combine always leaves me coming back for more. Their laid back sound and catchy choruses have allowed them to build up a quality and solid fan base. What we have here are some visuals to one of their standout tracks of their latest album, The Bright Side, which you can buy HERE. Keep up with the Fresh Aer Movement and support them on Facebook and Twitter below.
