If you follow Jon Bellion and his music, you have a sense of his creative process and the work he puts into his craft. So you hear the music and see the videos, but do you know the what goes on beneath the surface? Who the masked faces are behind the sounds? Who and what has influenced Bellion’s development and growth as an artist? Chances are, you don’t. I’m a huge fan of JB, but even I wasn’t familiar with many of the faces highlighted in this documentary.
It’s awesome to see an artist grow organically. It’s even better when you actually SEE all of those who contribute, but don’t necessarily get the credit or face time. This Beautiful Mind Documentary is a full feature look into the lives of all those bleeding their skills, emotions, and time into the music. Take the time, learn, and follow the team (links below). Tour dates coming soon. #VMG

Poised with determination and a willingness to succeed, Azad Right showcases his self made talent on his newest video single off his upcoming project, For The Hopeful. Rick Ross may be the most noteworthy, overweight character to coin the phrase, “Self Made”, but Azad’s resume validates the truth in this record, as he simultaneously pays respect to those who have come before him.

Whether you like extreme sports, graffiti wall art, big time radio smash pop hits, Anastasia Ashley’s ass, or all of the above, Timeflies new video might just tickle your fancy. One of the perks of signing to a major label is of course the sizable production that goes into each release. Evident here, Cal, Rez, and the entire team put in work on this video. Their latest Benny Benassi co-produced single is catching radio onto radio waves across the nation, and this video only solidifies the capacity of this track. Stay up, album coming soon!

Necco Sweethearts may be the most disappointing candy of all time. Terrible texture, flavor that makes you question what combination of poison you’re eating, and a feeling like these candies were mass produced in 1938. Much like Sweet Tarts did, Cal and Rez came through and injected some life into these faintly beating hearts (sweet and sour hearts all day). So, whether you’re single, taken, or in your own mind – both, enjoy this Valentines Day appetizer.

Listen, I’m no Family Guy groupie, nor have I ever heard of this dude Mikey Bolts until my buddy introduced him to me over the weekend, but he has some serious talent. If you breathe Oxygen, you should be able to recognize at least two of these voices. Do I think it’s kind of strange how his facial expressions look eerily like the cartoons themselves? Yes, without a doubt. Do I wish I could pull off those impersonations? Yes, without a doubt. Any way you cut it, this Bolts kid has skills. Check out his YouTube channel for more Family Guy covers.

Timeflies throw it back, but also keep it current with a mashup cover of Scar Tissue x Grenade. After a recent announcement that the RHCP would be added to the likes of Bruno Mars and whatever other Super Bowl surprises, this could be a realistic preview of what’s to come Sunday night. Taking one of the best songs of the best decade, the 90′s, and lacing it with Bruno Mars’ 2010 hit, this is certainly a unique release for Cal and Rez. On top of indulging in this Tuesday release, grab an earful of Laidback Luke’s remix of Timeflies recent single, “All The Way”, below.

Those of you who watched the Grammy’s last night likely have an opinion, one way or the other, on the Best Rap Album of 2013 award. I have endless amounts of respect for both K.Dot and Mack & RL. Both deserved multiple Grammy’s for their performance in 2013 and the fact that Kendrick came out with a donut is disappointing for hip-hop. You may ask how this is relevant to the new track VMG dropped today- valid question. Music has evolved over the years. There are more sub-genre’s in 2014 than ever before. Artists are experimenting with different sounds, fusing different genre’s, and new sub-genre’s are being born. The artists representing Visionary are a prime example of this.
Although these artists often experiment to create new sounds, you can’t help but love a raw, bar dropping freestyle cypher. Last week Logic celebrated his 24th birthday with a few friends. Those friends just so happened to be label mates Jon Bellion, QuESt, ©. Castro, & producer 6ix. The celebrating just so happened to take place in the studio. Do you think the rest of the game is scared yet?
