Bass, RnB, Trap | Shlohmo ft. Jeremih – Bo Peep (Do U Right)

Posted by on March 20, 2013

This dark melancholy of love is Shlohmo and Jeremih’s first official collaboration. Both lead, and or rather invented a new sub-genre that can only be described as a lo-fi branch of Rnb. The mergence of the two talents combining forces certainly marks some next level sh#t. A video after the jump sheds light on their new collaborative vision together.

Chill, Compilation, Dubstep | W8’s Top 12 of 2012

Posted by on January 8, 2013

This image above accurately depicts my hiearchy of diversified beats for ’12. Call me weird, but I like to hear tracks as though they’re alive… as if a monster is trying to express itself through sound. This has the most chilling effect, and all these have that. Honourable mentions go to an abundance of EDM tunes that don’t appear on the list. I am forever indebted to that insane energy; no other genre can comprehend, but for now let’s have some alternative listens.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Chance The Rapper – Brain Cells (Official Video)

Posted by on April 28, 2012

“Brain Cells” | Chance the Rapper from Austin Vesely on Vimeo.

After just posting his mixtape, 10Day, Chance dropped some visuals to one of the stand out tracks. Although the beat is rather relaxing and slow, Chance’s flow on this song is on point. Visuals done by Austin Vesely. If you’re in Chicago on May 3rd, tweet #ASAPCHANCE to get Chance to open up for A$AP Rocky. If you have yet to download the tape, hop on that because it’s a MUST DOWNLOAD

Videos | De-Lor Performs “Luckiest Man” Live At Venice Beach

Posted by on February 13, 2012

De-Lor Performs “Luckiest Man” Live @ Venice Beach from JadoreTeam on Vimeo.

Although De-Lor has been quiet as of late, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been working. De-Lor recently went out to the west coast to shoot his the highly anticipated video for “Beautiful Life.” Along the way, he made a stop in Venice Beach for an impromptu performance to serenade patrons of the boardwalk. Looks like there was one blonde in particular that really took a liking to the performance. As a bonus, I’ve included more behind the scenes footage courtesy of DJ Moneybags. Hit “read on” for more.

Girl Fire, Pop | Kay- My Name Is Kay

Posted by on January 18, 2012

MY NAME IS KAY from Kaymusik on Vimeo.

Last night,  I found an Interscope artist by the name of Kay- a Nova-Scotian spoken-rap-slash-singer smokeshow. There’s no other way around it. Total smoke. She’s just like Kesha, but a lot hotter- and with a way better inner-thigh gap. She’s said to be working with Tiesto and Ryan Tedder right now. If that’s the case, I expect the album to be purty strong. Be sure to follow Kay on Facebook and Twitter. This is certified girl fire.

The title says it all – this laid back summer tune will make your head bob all day long. The video above illustrates what this young man is all about; pure unadulterated talent. For more songs head over to his Soundcloud and like him on Facebook (he’s only at 400 wtf…)

DISTANT RELATIVES “Patience” from nabil elderkin on Vimeo.

Here Is a little something for our Nas and Damian Marley fans. After a long wait, here is the music video to Patience. Below is a nice dose of hip-hop. Last is going to be the first single of Big Sean’s up coming album Finally Famous: The Album, and to be honest I think it’s going to a great one (as long as he stays away from collaborations with Travis Porter). We’ll get you the dirty version as soon as we get a hold of it.
