Deep House, House | Oliver Heldens & Shaun Frank Jump Into The Summer House Pool With “Shades Of Grey”
Posted by GMONEY on June 22, 2015
When I hear a new Oliver Heldens track dropped, I immediately think that a new dance floor heater is about to enter the game. His latest collab with Shaun Frank, “Shades of Grey,” will definitely be lighting up dance floor but they might be underwater at pool parties. “Shades of Grey,” not to be confused with the movie, is just one of those tracks where your riding down the Pacific Coast Highway, in a convertible, and there isn’t one care in the world around you. Check it out above, and grab it on Spinnin’ when it drops on June 21st.

Hardwell had quite the Miami Music Week this year. From his UberYACHT giveaway to closing down Ultra’s Main Stage to a handful of exciting performances, it would’ve taken a diehard fan to hit all of those events. However, Hardwell captured his week with future-forward equipment and will be releasing his ‘360 experience’ on YouTube soon. To hold us over and show fans what exactly the ‘360 experience’ will entail, Hardwell has uploaded a teaser trailer of his hotel room right before Ultra as a dry run for fans who have yet to use the feature. Check it out above!

Earlier this year, EDX premiered his “Indian Summer” remix of Sam Feldt’s modern day, tropical re-imagination of Robin S’s 80s classic, “Show Me Love.” Now that Memorial Day is in the rearview mirror and summer is nearly upon us, the Swiss house maestro has released his remix of “Show Me Love,” a surefire summer staple. On this remix, the veteran producer keeps the sun-soaked vibes of Feldt’s re-imagination and infuses the track with a groovy house backbone, making it perfect for a late night at the club or a hot day by the pool. Stream EDX’s “Indian Summer” remix of “Show Me Love” above, and snag your own copy on Beatport via Spinnin’ Deep.

This coming Monday, Black Butter will be making their first official foray in the birthplace of techno, Detroit, with its party on Monday, May 25th at Populux, where Gorgon City, Kidnap Kid, MK b2b Lee Foss, Dantiez Saunderson, Loud Luxury, and Admn will all be gracing the decks. For a UK label, the significance of this is very special as it is a time to prove themselves in a place where dance music roots run deep, and fans are well educated in underground spheres and beyond. Rather than Black Butter’s Detroit showcase being thought of as a judgement day of sorts, it’s more of a display of artistry that can be enjoyed by the masses. In celebration of the party, we’ve put together a showcase to highlight the top talent that will be guiding the Populux crowd to underground dance music enlightenment. Check it out below and grab tickets to the party here.
• Gorgon City
• Kidnap Kid
• Lee Foss
• Dantiez Saunderson
