THANK YOU! Finally a producer has taken a classic, given it a modern twist, and actually made a good remix. Too often we see producers try to take on classic tracks and completely botch them, thankfully today Justin Caruso has done the complete opposite. The indie dance vibe of this remix combined with the future fills makes this one of my favorite remixes of late…best part is, you can download it for free below! I dare you to try to listen to this without tapping your feet.

We usually avoid posting anything too indie, but these guys deserve it. Originating from Australia & Northern Ireland, this duo randomly met in a coffee shop in Manhattan and haven’t looked back since. The drop is unexpected and we couldn’t be happier about it. It’s something new, which isn’t easy to find. The downtempo “indietronica” sound is dark, but beautiful. These guys are going to be dropping a few more covers over the next few months, so stay tuned and snag the free download on the player!

At just twenty years old, Oliver Heldens has managed to champion an emerging genre into the spotlight, in addition to starting his own record label, Heldeep Records. We here at Fresh New Tracks have been fans of Justin Jay since he put out his very first record, “How Goes The Dynamite,” on dirtybird. That was three years ago, and now, the Dirtybird protege and recent college graduate is ready to spread his wings and soar. Jay’s already been killing it this year, making his debut at The Do Lab at Coachella, with sets at TomorrowWorld, CRSSD Festival, and the Dirtybird Campout on the horizon, and he’s put out a few fan favorites like “Mind Games.” Now, he’s releasing yet another secret weapon for his discography, a collaboration with Chris Lorenzo called “Storm,” and it’s his debut on Black Butter Records – one of the most impressive and renowned record labels from across the pond. Jay’s typical house stylings are left by the wayside for a breakbeat rhythm on this one, and Chris Lorenzo slides right in to infuse the track with his signature basslines and dreamy melody.

If you haven’t heard of Taylor Wise by now, it’s about time you become familiar with the rising star. With multiple releases charting as the #1 track on Hypem and his SoundCloud racking in over a million plays, this New York newcomer has been making some serious buzz. A few years back The 1975 released one of my all time favorite tracks, “Chocolate.” Taylor has given the remix a fresh makeover with a dose of pop and a nice touch of summer. Roll the windows down and turn your speakers up, this is the track for your summer.

Bass | Oliver Heldens Reveals Himself As HI-LO, Previews Inaugural Heldeep Records Release “Renegade Mastah”
Posted by GMONEY on July 7, 2015
It’s safe to say that the ZHU trend is alive and well. Within the last year, dance music has been experiencing an influx of mystery producers, like marshmello and ATTLAS, who choose to remain nameless, often prompting Internet detectives to go searching for their true identities. The Internet water cooler gossip only heightens with each release, and self-proclaimed experts begin speculating as to the identities of these mystery producers, claiming that Skrillex is actually marshmello, or that deadmau5 is ATTLAS. When the mysterious bass house producer, HI-LO, surfaced a few months ago on Mad Decent, the Internet went searching for clues as to his identity, and it looks like they’ve hit the nail on the head as to who he really is – Oliver Heldens. The Dutch phenom revealed himself as the mastermind behind HI-LO, and unveiled his newest single, “Renegade Mastah,” which will be the first release on his recently-announced Heldeep Records. “Renegade Mastah” builds on the bass house sound that Heldens explored in “Crank It Up,” as he borrows the familiar vocal sample from “Renegade Master” by Wildchild. The track is due out on July 20th via Heldeep Records.
