This dark melancholy of love is Shlohmo and Jeremih’s first official collaboration. Both lead, and or rather invented a new sub-genre that can only be described as a lo-fi branch of Rnb. The mergence of the two talents combining forces certainly marks some next level sh#t. A video after the jump sheds light on their new collaborative vision together.

This image above accurately depicts my hiearchy of diversified beats for ’12. Call me weird, but I like to hear tracks as though they’re alive… as if a monster is trying to express itself through sound. This has the most chilling effect, and all these have that. Honourable mentions go to an abundance of EDM tunes that don’t appear on the list. I am forever indebted to that insane energy; no other genre can comprehend, but for now let’s have some alternative listens.

Although De-Lor has been quiet as of late, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been working. De-Lor recently went out to the west coast to shoot his the highly anticipated video for “Beautiful Life.” Along the way, he made a stop in Venice Beach for an impromptu performance to serenade patrons of the boardwalk. Last night, I found an Interscope artist by the name of Kay- a Nova-Scotian spoken-rap-slash-singer smokeshow. There’s no other way around it. Total smoke. She’s just like Kesha, but a lot hotter- and with a way better inner-thigh gap. She’s said to be working with Tiesto and Ryan Tedder right now. These new house releases of his I have been a fan of, though they are quite different then the Tiesto of old. This song may be the biggest change of all with some electro infused synth, creating a more electro house song.
