I have been patiently waiting for this mixtape from ZEDS DEAD and Omar LinX. Omar LinX does a lot of work with ZEDS DEAD, cool to see them team up for a free mixtape of some dubstep and hip-hop blended. The production from ZEDS DEAD is great, infusing 90s samples with their bass-lines. A lot of these tracks you will recognize, Omar goes over top tracks like Coffee Break, Eyes On Fire, Rude Boy, and more favorites. After a few listens I honestly couldn’t pick favorites from this, every track is cool, smooth, and perfect in their own way. Omar kills it over ZEDS DEAD’s great work. Don’t forget this thing is free!

Not a bad way to kick off Saint Patrick’s Day if you ask me. This actually a pretty dirty, fun remix from Andy. The intro is basically kept the same as when you hear it play for you favorite sports team, then the track drops into this cool drumstep.

I considered saving this track for next Wednesday’s R Rated, but there is no way it will make it that long. This track has an almost jazzy funk feel to it building up, then breaks into some melodic filth. It is very creative, which is what I like to look for in new music, what have you done to stand out to make me want to listen? Jamburglar and LabRat took an unconventional approach to dubstep and made it sound good.

Let the Madness begin! Nothing like the March Madness tourney. With the tournament, always comes the filling out of the brackets, which we all know is the best part. So we at Fresh New Tracks put together a little pool for you guys to submit your brackets. Just finished watching this on SNL (god that show used to be so much funnier) and had to throw it up on here. You get to see a insightful glimpse of Drake & Nicki Minaj’s relationship in which Drake swears he loves & would marry her while Nicki loves him back in a little brother way. Regardless, they keep it playful which works and results in the crushing of tracks when these two team up. I’m not a big Nicki Minaj fan, but whenever it’s with a Drake collab she seems to do it right.

If you like songs with a storyline or meaning behind them, tune into this latest track from Adair. Here’s what the good folks from his team had to say about the track:
Adair, inspired by the Dream Act (a bill that President Obama passed -and was later rejected- earlier this year) felt compelled to write a song about this controversial issue. This inspirational song and video touch on the hardships endured by the undocumented kids who cross over every year. Scenes from the HBO Documentary “Which Way Home” were beautifully intertwined into this Adair Lion music video. The song was produced by DJ Frank-Dux and samples Atlantic Starrr’s 1980’s hit “Am I Dreaming.”
