Finally a solid remix of this classic Love Me Now song by John Legend. We have had a ton of remix submissions of this song but this is one that definitely stood out with its “melodic dubstep” kind of feel. This one will be on repeat.

Alternative, RnB | Joel Compass – Run (Video)

Posted by on October 18, 2013

This is the latest release from the newest Photo Finish artist Joel Compass – the video for his newest single, “Run”, was released a few days ago via Vevo. “Run” is the lead single from Joel’s forthcoming LP, tentatively scheduled for release during the first quarter of 2014. “Run” premiered on BBC Radio 1 during Zane Lowe’s show back in late September as his ‘Hottest Record.’

I’ve always had a soft spot for R&B music -I can thank John Legend for that- and perhaps it’s this predisposition which attracts me to Joel Compass so easily. But, even if R&B isn’t your go-to genre, this young artist has enough originality and crossover appeal to really leave a mark.

Enjoy the song and video and stay tuned for his LP coming soon!

I am not going to pretend that I’m a fan of John Legend and prior to hearing this remix, I’m pretty sure that I haven’t heard any of his songs. With that said, I spent a very brief amount of time looking him up and apparently he’s a fairly big deal. The original is still unknown to me but I don’t care because this remix is just so good. The 10 minute instrumental is absolutely wonderful itself and paired with the soothing vocals of the guy I probably should have known it just makes it that much better. Tony Takeover is a new name to me but if he keeps making tracks like this then he might become a regular around here.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Dunson – Live in Philly Opening for John Legend (Video)

Posted by on May 1, 2012

A little over a week ago Dunson had the opportunity to open for the one and only John Legend at The Liacourias Center in Philadelphia. The milestone event for Dunson was captured by his film crew AtomEvolve and gives a glimpse of what went down that night. The song featured in the background of the video is Dunson’s remix of John Legend’s “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)” that was released just before the show and cosigned by John Legend himself. If you like how Dunson and John Legend sound together, you can expect John Legend to be featured on Dunson’s upcoming mixtape The Investment, which will be due out this summer. You can download Dunson’s remix of “Tonight” for free here.

Hip-Hop, RnB | John Legend – Tonight (Best You Ever Had) ft. Dunson (Remix)

Dunson jumps on John Legend’s “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)”, the lead single Steve Harvey’s Think Like A Man soundtrack. The remix, cosigned by the man himself, showcases his lyrical gymnastics over Legend’s Billboard hit. Going toe to toe with Ludacris (who is featured on the original) is no easy feet but it safe to say that Dunson killed the track. Download the remix below and stay up to date on Dunson by becoming a fan of his on Facebook.

Hip-Hop, Pop | Chris Brown, John Legend x Ludacris, Nicki Minaj

Nicki dropped this record breaking video a couple days back for her first single off her second studio album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, whose release date recently got pushed back from V-Day until April, 3rd.  Although this video broke Vevo’s record for most views in first 24 hours with 4.8million, I can’t say all the feedback has been positive.  With more than 2x as many dislikes as likes on Youtube, this video gives Rebecca Black something to strive for.  The only thing this video really proved to me, was Nicki’s badunkadunk is 100% au naturalé.  Lastly, Nicki confirmed Guetta’s single “Turn Me On” will also be featured on her album.

Breezy Breezy Breezy, committing battery on this dirty electro-pop beat by The Underdogs.  Too soon?  Sorry RiRi, I love you more anyways.  The second single off Brown’s 5th studio album, Fortune, will likely receive the “We Found Love” treatment from the radio.

John Legend, the man who rarely does wrong, recruits Ludachristopher for his new single.  This is that baby making music.

P.S. I apologize for the mediocre quality, I’ll update with the mastered once it drops.
