We here at Fresh New Tracks have been fans of Justin Jay since he put out his very first record, “How Goes The Dynamite,” on dirtybird. That was three years ago, and now, the Dirtybird protege and recent college graduate is ready to spread his wings and soar. Jay’s already been killing it this year, making his debut at The Do Lab at Coachella, with sets at TomorrowWorld, CRSSD Festival, and the Dirtybird Campout on the horizon, and he’s put out a few fan favorites like “Mind Games.” Now, he’s releasing yet another secret weapon for his discography, a collaboration with Chris Lorenzo called “Storm,” and it’s his debut on Black Butter Records – one of the most impressive and renowned record labels from across the pond. Jay’s typical house stylings are left by the wayside for a breakbeat rhythm on this one, and Chris Lorenzo slides right in to infuse the track with his signature basslines and dreamy melody.

Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” produced by Teddy Riley is undoubtedly a classic. It’s replay value is through the roof. That’s why so many artists have remixed the tune. What Neville Bartos and Lorenzo have done to this track is pure jackin’ house meets hip-hop fire flames. The only issue I have with the audio, is that the volume has been turned down in parts. Luckily, I have the full download below. Great obscure tune.

TOER (aka The Official ER) created a great melodic dubstep remix out of Near To You. It’s strange to say I actually know the original of this song very well, it isn’t exactly very famous. TOER warped the sound of the vocals, but I like how they turned out on this remix. Dubstep in this melodic style is just another face to the versatile genre, this remix turned out to be beautiful.
