Sun City gives us a brand new summery treat called ‘Castaway’, which features the voice of Yeo. Sun City mention that this is just the first taste of their forthcoming ‘Daytona EP’, and if this track is any indication, it’s going to be a great one. From the producers themselves, “This track is about relinquishing the idea of control and leaving everything up to fate, or the universe.” ‘Castaway’ is a chilled but upbeat track with warm vibes with well executed sound design and percussion. Timeflies had a hit on their hands this summer with the Top 40 jam, “Once In A While”. Now, Los Angeles based producer Geo has taken the song and flipped it a full 180 degrees.
His remix highlights the sparkly synth-line and adds a tropical and progressive dance flare to the already upbeat track.
A perfect one to add to any of your summer playlists!

Experimental artist Sekuoia, hailing from Copenhagen, created this chill remix of “Pearl” as a part of Mieux’s Neufant (Remixes) EP. The vocal chops and percussion take your mind far away. It’s the kind of track that is easy to get lost in – perfect for studying or relaxing in these last few days of August. You can stream it here until it is officially released in mid September to UpMyAlley!

Hip-Hop | Wale, Yonas, and Bei Maejor | Hip-Hop

I haven’t been listening to much hip-hop lately, but how can one pass on new Wale. The freestyle is the newest of the two tracks, the second one being from a few days ago. His freestyle is pretty long, got to give the guy big ups on making a kickass freestyle. Lacefrontin is a fun upbeat track, can’t get enough of it.

Never really listened to Yonas before to be honest, but I am really feeling his flow on this track. The beat is really chill, hook isn’t my thing, but it is a short one.

I am loving this track right now, puts me in a great mood. Bei Maejor drops some pretty dope tracks, this has to be one of the better ones.

This track is about a month old now, I wish we didn’t miss it. Stairway to Heaven is a great song, but Pat Lee did a sick job. I also have to give credit to the just signed to the Pretty Lights Music label, Gramatik. Expecting great productions from him in the future.

No idea who Ac Slater is, but this hot upbeat track deserves its own post for sure. I am loving the feel good vibes this sick remix is giving off, definitely got me in a good mood to start the weekend off right. Seeing as I know nothing about this guy, all i can tell you is the track is worth the download.

Us New Yorkers are disappointed. The Jets’ loss was a massive blow to our self esteem. That doesn’t mean, however, that we don’t plan to enjoy this upcoming Sunday Funday. Unlike me, Lil’ Wayne was fortunate enough to have his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers, secure a slot in the Superbowl. Weezy goes hard over Wiz’s “Black & Yellow” beat in order to show some love for his boys.
