Exclusive, Featured, Progressive House, Videos | Mr. Fluff – Fearless Hearts (Music Video) [FNT Premier]
Posted by Middy on February 5, 2013
Malaysian producer, singer / songwriter, Mr Fluff released the uplifting progressive track, “Fearless Hearts” late last year along with the heavily supported Jordy Dazz remix, both of which became staples of Dj sets and podcasts for over a month. We are proud to premier the music video for “Fearless Hearts” that features a scene of two kendo fighters sparring with bamboo swords, providing a reprieve from the repetitive live footage music video we seem to always get. Watch to the end to see who wins. Look for more from the multitalented Malaysian artist in the future as he forges his path as both a singer and a producer.

Every so often an artist comes along that needs to be paid attention to, regardless of their genre. Boston-based singer/songwriter Adam Jensen, who has been feature on FNT before (HERE), is one of those artists.
His debut EP “Head on a String” showcases his phenomenal voice and ability to master so many sounds. All five (5) songs on the EP were written by Jensen, except “Lost Without You” which he co-wrote with Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20) and Nashville radio DJ, Dave Harris. “Lost Without You” was produced by Grammy Award nominee Aaron Johnson (The Fray). “Monsters” was produced by Barrett Yeretsian, best known for producing Christina Perri’s multi-platinum selling single “Jar of Hearts” and is absolutely on the same level. Adam then teamed up to co-produce with the former Boston Music Award “Producer of the Year” winner, Benny Grotto, on “Cannonball” and “Redemption Man” and Boston-based producer Taylor Barefoot on “Dead Man Walking.”
The EP is now available on iTunes and is a must buy for any music fan. Talent is talent. Currently it is at #9 on the singer/songwriter charts and climbing.

Contests, Cover | Zach Heckendorf – Forgot About Dre
Posted by CHAZZZ on October 29, 2012
Heckendorf really isn’t a hard name to remember and you’re about to start hearing it a lot. Fresh out of the best state in America (Colorado), singer-songwriter Zach Heckendorf is on the rise and gaining a ton of attention across the nation. As a Colorado native myself, I’ve been lucky enough to follow Zach almost from the start. I know he can rock any tune he tackles, so when I heard he covered a Dr. Dre song I couldn’t wait to listen. As you can see in the video above, Zach brings a new, rumbling energy to “Forgot About Dre,” and hearing him rap at a breakneck speed over his trademark guitar riffs is completely awesome.
If you too become addicted to Zach’s unique sound after watching this video, you can check out more of his music HERE. This guy is insanely talented and such a dynamic singer, I know it won’t be long until he’s at the top.
Now, listen up Colorado fans – Zach hooked FNT up with a huge giveaway for his upcoming show in Denver at the Ogden Theater on November 23rd. The package includes: A pair of tickets, 2 signed CDs (hold on to those!), and a meet and greet with Zach himself. All you have to do is CLICK HERE and SHARE and LIKE the picture. The winner will be announced Friday, November 2nd.

Albums, Electro, Pop, RnB | Quincy Kwalae & J.T. Roach – Qollab [Free EP]
Posted by Grubeats on October 1, 2012
Often times artists will blend genres and fail miserably. The spike in the popularity of EDM has left hip-hop, pop, and r&b artists with the daunting question of “how to incorporate these new sounds into their music”. Midwest natives, Quincy Kwalae (producer) & J.T. Roach (vocals) crossed paths after graduating college and instantly felt chemistry in their music. While J.T’s background runs deep as an acoustic artist with roots in R&B & Soul, Quincy’s production is native to both hip-hop and EDM instruments. Their debut Qollab EP, Piñata After Party encompasses an infusion the duo’s sounds, creating a compelling new genre of their own.
“The whole project sounds like a wild blend of Trey Songz, Skrillex, The Weeknd & Xaphoon Jones…yet, sounds like none of them at all. Maybe we made a new genre….R&BEDM?” – Q
Although this is just the beginning for these two aspiring artists, they have both been at it for quite some time, which is evident in their music. Although it’s only four new tracks, you’ll hear something new in each one. Slap on some pine tar and take a swing at this musical Piñata, you won’t be disappointed with what you find inside.

RnB | Frank Ocean – Pyramids
Posted by J_Salzer on June 8, 2012
I don’t need a snappy intro or hook to draw you in with this song. The song is by Frank Ocean, and that’s all you need to know. Frank doesn’t fail to impress with this one, the first single off of his upcoming album, Pyramids, is a hit. Heads up, the song is 10 minutes long, and it gets a bit repetitive at some points, but damn, is Frank Ocean a talent, this song perfectly showcases his songwriting and vocal abilities. He seems to have cut his public affiliation with Odd Future to a minimum, which shows he’s taking his career as a singer seriously, even if he might not be having as much fun as Taco, Jasper, Tyler and the rest of the gang. After hearing Pyramids, I can’t wait to hear his debut album, Channel Orange coming soon.
