Trap | Bro Safari – That A$$

Posted by on September 13, 2012

Bro Safari is back with another big free download for his fans, this time bringing us some bouncy trap that’s tailor-made for a 12th Planet liveset, that house party you were thinking of throwing this weekend, or your car’s speakers when you’re whippin it with the windows down and want to let the world know what’s good. Yes, everyone is all over trap right now (undoubtedly to the endless amusement of the hip hop community, which has been pumping out trap since 1873), but there’s no denying that when it’s good it gets the vibes flowing like nothing else.

Alternative | Experimental Selections

Posted by on September 12, 2012

I dedicate this post to the very few tracks that stand the test of time during this unsatisfied, impatiently needy generation. I’ve come to appreciate my savvy talent for deviating passed oceans of terrible shit in pursuit of gems out in the distance. Its got me following artists that are just off wandering in the realms of experimental sound, clearly inspired by nothing – production at its finest. These tracks below aren’t meant for a club, or any type of gathering, it’s the kind of shit you just vibe to by yourself. No genre, just a sound.

Chill, Compilation, Cover, Indie, Reggae | Cris Cab – Live…In the Moment (Free Album)

Posted by on August 26, 2012

I’ve been a fan of Cris Cab ever since I first saw his covers over a year ago. It’s crazy to see how far he’s come. He’s one of the most talented singers right now, in a genre that is largely over saturated, Cris finds a way to stand out and be unique. Today, he gives us a free album full of high quality live versions of his set from a show down in Miami. Wyclef Jean makes an appearance(and drops an insane freestyle) on “No Woman No Cry,” although I’m not sure who sounds more Jamaican…Cris does a damn good Bob Marley. Throughout this entire compilation, you can feel the passion and hear how Cris effortlessly works the crowd. A true artist can record AND perform. Cris Cab is a true artist.

DO SOMETHING

Alternative, Indie, Videos | Connor Zwetsch – The Little Things (Video)

Posted by on August 25, 2012

FNT’s own Connor Zwetsch hits us with her newest video offering. I have a little bias when I say this, because Connor is from my hometown, and is a close friend, but I think she has one of the best, most unique voices out right now. Her covers are insane, while her original stuff always has hard hitting lyrics, and smooth instrumentals played by Connor herself. She has a single releasing soon, with an EP to follow. Make sure you like her facebook page below to stay updated, but if you’re too lazy to do that, have no fear, FNT will always get you the scoop.

Hip-Hop | Kendrick Lamar – Westside, Right Now (ft. Young Jeezy)

Posted by on August 17, 2012

Kendrick Lamar enlists Young Jeezy for this brand new track produced by Canei Finch, also mixed by Ali. Classic Kendrick flow on this one with a nice laid back soulful beat to compliment it, and as usual Jeezy kills it. Be on the lookout for more Kendrick, he’s definitely on the come up right now.

Pop, Videos | SoMo- Touch The Sky (Prod. Cody Tarpley)

Posted by on August 9, 2012

Joseph SoMo is easily the most exciting artist in the blogosphere right now. He just doesn’t miss. Dropping heaters left and right with Cody Tarpley like it ain’t no thing. “Touch The Sky” serves as the third and final leak from SoMo’s upcoming “Love Music & Club Music” mixtape releasing September 11th. Straight fire.

Dubstep | R Rated #40

Posted by on August 1, 2012

I am completely speechless right now after hearing this remix. Vexare has outdone himself, this remix is amazing. The saddest thing about this track is there is no official date for its release. Vexare said that he would be playing the full track at Next Level 2012 in Los Angeles, CA on August 11th. I wish I could go just to hear this played.

The original of this next track was actually really good. Flinch has been doing a lot of good work lately, but so has SPL. This is the third bomb remix from SPL I have heard in the past couple months. I didn’t think he could do another filthy remix like this after his “Gansters” VIP.

Exilica has been releasing one track after another for weeks now. Each one being just as good as the last, these two track have been released in just the past day. The first one, “Into Darkness,” is heavy enough to make my ears hurt in delight. The vocals are smooth and sweet, but that drop will kill you in your sleep. The second track is another original of Exilica’s called “The War.” I can’t for the life of me put my finger on the name of the movie sampled in this track, but it is just as filthy as the first.
