After dominating the dance music scene for the past couple years, fans have been eagerly awaiting Hardwell to release a debut album and last month the Dutch pioneer announced the full tracklist for his debut LP, “United We Are.” To begin the monsoon of anticipation, Robbert van de Corput has released the first single titled, “Eclipse,” of which he played for Miami at Ultra Music Festival 2014.
Although deep house is having its time in the spotlight currently, Hardwell sticks to his guns and maintains his signature big room sound that fans have grown to love. The main stage veteran sends shivers down listeners spines from start to finish with classical strings, ear-numbing basslines, and expertly aligned synth harmonies to exhibit his musical mastery. This is the first taste that will have fans fiending more as we inch closer to the album’s release.

After months of teasers, singles, videos, sold out shows, & of course Timeflies Tuesday’s, Cal and Rez come together to deliver their latest full-length LP, After Hours. With an independent spirit still instilled in their minds, the Tufts born duo kept the majority of the project organic, leaving the vocals up to Cal and the production on Rez’s plate. Having said that, Cal did lend the mic to hip-hop’s honorary MC, Fabolous, for a verse on “Fall” as well as the king of auto tune, T-Pain, on “Somebody Gon Get It”. Private university kids putting out big time records!
Music game Jelly Belly’s – the album contains flavors from a variety of genres. Pop, hip-hop, electro, country, folk, and just about anything else you can think of. Their sound is unique, smooth, and on pace with any other mainstream artist/group in the game. I’m not a huge fan of Ty Dolla $ign. He’s a rap game gopher if I’ve ever seen one – he’ll breach the surface a couple times, then he’ll die off and another one will come along. On the plus side, he is the host of some killer beats, from which many great remixes have sprouted. Timeflies decided to bring it back to their roots on this weeks Tuesday installment with an auto-tuned freestyle rendition of the gopher’s chart topping single, “Paranoid”. Nothing bad can come out of Cal, Rez, and a golden shoe. Enjoy yet another teaser while we await their debut major label LP, due very soon.
