NYC producer Jenaux released his official remix of Clara Lofaro’s Billboard charting single “Born To Love You.” I fell on this remix by accident, seeing my boy Ravi B. commented on the link, so I checked it out, and it was to my liking. A strong mix that blends element of French House and Progressive House, making for an anthem that you can dance to, and at the same time jump up in the air with you hands up at a festival. This is my first time hearing of Jenaux but I will be keeping my ears out. This is a must listen!
Chill, Electronic | Esta – Moet (Ft. JBird)
Posted by BP on November 30, 2013

This chill track called “Moet” (ft. JBird) is 1 out of 13 tracks on Esta’s new album “Paradise”. The album was released on Thanksgiving, and it really blew me away. There’s not a single track on it that I would skip. The style is generally mellow and haunting trap/electronic although some songs lean to a more ambient/garage style. Give the full album a listen for yourself on Bandcamp via the link below, and download it for free!

Bass, Chill, Trap | Boeboe – Buy Sell Bye Cell EP

W8 showed me this incredible EP last night. In fact, I lost a game of chess to him to write this, haha. The opening track, “Negative Roi”, is the absolute winner for W8 and myself. The Bun B sampling is a nice touch to the bouncy bass that pounds in on your ears. “Denim” has a sexy kick, Boeboe packed it in nice and tight with all the different bass sounds used. In a way it gives off a bit of a spooky vibe, finishing off a little more abstractly but in a tasteful fashion. The third track, “Yeah Right” seems to be the clear top track on this EP with most fans. It starts out in a typical festival Trap style, which isn’t really what I’ve been into trap wise, but I cannot deny that this tune makes me bump hard. For me “Silly Boy” is the weakest link on this EP, just sounds like your typical festival Trap track. A little boring if you ask me. “Cabbage Patch” came as a big surprise, I wasn’t expecting it to go as hard as it does. I absolutely love the rolling chords in the bridge leading to the the second drop. Fantastic. Despite “Silly Boy” I really enjoy listening to the diversity Boeboe has on this EP.

Chill, Trap | The Ninetys – The Ninetys EP
Posted by BP on October 8, 2013

The Ninetys EP was just launched on Cream Collective and it’s got so much variety that it could please many types of listeners! Of course, there are trap songs, but some are emotional, and some are more punchy. My favorite is “Put It On Me” because the vocals are so emotional and flow with the beats in absolute harmony. The EP can be downloaded and streamed at the link below. Sorry, no preview available except on the Cream Collective website. You’ll have to take my word for it! 😉
Albums, Electronic | ODESZA – My Friends Never Die

“My Friends Never Die” by ODESZA is an absolutely blissful album. All the tracks are great, but personally I think the title track is the highlight. Overall the album is smooth, classy, and chill – while still being fun. It’s electronic music done right. I enjoyed it from start to finish, and fortunately for us it’s free! You can stream the whole album here, or download it with the link below!
