There is no doubt that Mike Stud has been on the rise since he released his freshmen mixtape A Toast to Tommy, in the beginning of last October. It achieved great success debuting at #3 on the iTunes hip-hop charts and #66 on the Billboards, sheesh. Afterwards, Mike embarked on his first Nationwide tour that rocked 25 cities in 2 months, selling out the final 6 shows. Along the road he dropped numerous singles and a handful of videos to accompany them. With each song he progressed and tried new things, even taking an attempt at singing on “Is It Worth It” and “Boyfriend”, and it wasn’t too shabby. Overall, the growth and progression of Stud’s movement is something many new artists dream of and hope to achieve.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Kinetics & One Love – Butterfly Effect [Video]
Posted by Grubeats on March 30, 2012
[do action=”youtube” videoid=”IlSDdpoEf9s”/]
Kinetics & One Love conceptualize the story of their “Butterfly Effect” through some very impressive visuals. Model Tereza Kacerova and producer Kenna Okoye play their roles well, reflecting past situations that in the end, may have been for the better. Very few artists can recite a story with such potent lyrics, but Kinetics delivers time and time again. If you haven’t grabbed their full project, What Model Are You?, DL that below as well.

Hip-Hop | Aspects – Yes Please (Prod. by Akira Kiteshi)

Hip-hop might not be as good as it use to be in the US, but I think the UK does a crazy job keeping it alive. I mean sure up and comers aren’t doing half a bad job like Logic, Kinetics, not Mac Miller (kid needs some new subject matter), and not Sam Adams (No offense Sam. I love your tunes, but hip-pop isn’t hip-hop). Hip-hop isn’t just rhyming because you can, otherwise you would see my name up on this post. Countless people telling me they just listen to hip-hop beats now, thats half the track what about the rest of it? You have to have a good flow and a decent story to tell. Love that grimy feel you get from the UK rappers like what you get from this Aspects track, enjoy.

Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Hendersin – I F.L.Y.
Posted by GMONEY on November 15, 2011
Love him or hate him, there is no denying that Hendersin is one of the hardest working talents in the game. His latest mixtape, I F.L.Y., really puts this work ethic on display. This 21 track project features a wide range songs, from introspecitve tracks such as What You Looking at? and Keep Ya Head Up (my personal favorite track on the tape) to upbeat hip hop songs like Turn Around. With features from many of FNT’s favorite artists, including Kinetics, Collin McLoughlin, and Mike Stud, you definitely don’t want to miss I F.L.Y.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Mike Stud – Bottle It Up (Music Video)
Posted by GMONEY on October 30, 2011
Still riding high off the sucess of his mixtape A Toast To Tommy, Mike Stud just sent over this dope music video to Bottle It Up featuring Kinetics. Directed by Paddy Q, the video is different in the sense that it contains an actual plot as opposed to someone just rapping in front of a video camera.

Hip-Hop | Accent – Runaround Ft. Kinetics
Posted by Mach on October 13, 2011
I love this old school sound on hip-hop. You don’t even have to follow the lyrics to know who ever is rapping is keeping it real. I did listen to the lyrics though, not really up to date on who Accent is, but I’m feeling the flow he has got going on this beat. Kinetics kills it as always. Love the hook, might be an acquired taste though. I think it’s Kinetics, but don’t hold me to it.
