Albums | Radical Something – We Are Nothing (Album)

Posted by on September 21, 2011

The highly anticipated release from the newly formed trio consisting of Loggy (Rapper/Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist), Josh Cocktail (Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist), & DJ Big Red (DJ/Producer/Do-It-All Musician) is finally at our fingertips.  We have received countless videos, singles, promos, & acoustic jam sessions since the group formed back in the spring and with the warm weather unfortunately coming to a close (for some of us), we have a dosage of Indian Summer than will supplement that brisk fall weather.

Anyone familiar with Radical Something knows they bring a unique, laid back sound to the table.  This entire project was done in house among the 3, apart from the one feature from Kinetics (“Be Easy”).  Do your part to support the movement as the Radical’s make a push to bring positive change to the world of music.  Also, be on the lookout for them coming to a beach, frat, bar, or other venue near you as they set off on the “Are You Radical?” tour.

Hip-Hop | Kinetics & One Love – If I Die Young (Remix)

Posted by on September 19, 2011

Kinetic & One Love are the hottest thing since sliced bread. I am a fan of Sam Adams, Chris Webby, XV, and all the other hot up and coming hip-hop artists, but none in my mind compare to the mic killer, Kinetics. I wont lie, I am a big fan of the original of “If I Die Young.” Kinetics & One Love did an incredible job remixing this track.

Hip-Hop | Kinetics & One Love – What Model Are You?

Posted by on August 22, 2011

Kinetics & One Love are perhaps two of the most underrated artists we post. Their music consists of clever rhymes and flawless integrations of sounds common to the electro, hip-hop, and rap genres. This duo will rarely leave you underwhelmed, as they are quite comfortable exploring the outskirts of the mainstream realm and aren’t afraid to switch up styles and sounds between their songs. Perhaps that’s what attracts me to their music. The generic sound of music these days has become monotonous, leaving me with a thirst that Kinetics & One Love easily quenches through their distinct tracks. This latest project consists of four new songs. Don’t complain, I gave you the scoop before you opened your iTunes to a few familiar tracks. To be honest, their plan here makes perfect sense. Now that their fan base has doubled a few times over, why not provide the new comers with a chance to visit some of their classics while also providing everyone with a place to download some of their best cuts in one scoop. And if you’re angry about this decision, don’t fret Kinetics & One love has you covered. They are going to drop a part two of this project in a month, which will include all brand new material. Still not satisfied? Well they filmed a video for “Day in the life” (which is on the mixtape) as well as one for “Halley’s Comet 2.0” (filmed on the Great Wall of China) – set to drop on Tuesday.

Hip-Hop | Kinetics & One Love – Will You Be Remembered? (Feat. Missy Modell) | Hip-Hop

Wow, this is pure ear candy. If you dig the tracks Kinetics & One Love did with Wynter Gordon, you’ll absolutely love this collaboration with up-and-comer Missy Modell. K&1L toyed with some new sounds over the past few months (some that I loved and others that I didn’t care for too much), however, this latest track sees to revisit their original sound. As always, Kinetics flexes his lyrical muscles through some impressive bars that are topped off by the Missy Modell’s beautiful voice. Don’t pass this up ladies and gentleman.

Here’s another great track from an FNT regular, Eddy B & Tim Gunther. As expected the duo packs their unique sound which features a nice combination of hip hop and rock sounds. Top notch production as well…
