Chill, Trap | Lobster Music – Don’t Stop
Posted by BP on June 30, 2014
Tonight I thought I’d post something chill to go along with the stormy weather we’re having here in Chicago. “Don’t Stop” by Lobster Music is some chill trap to add to your collection. Lobster Music is a duo from the UK made up of Wizard and Scizzahz, under Cream Collective. This track will be featured on Lobster Music’s new ‘Cognac & Cohibas’ EP coming out on July 4th. Mellow trap beats guide Lana samples along through this skillful track. This track will be available for free on the new EP as well as the rest of the tracks. The EP will be available for download on Wizard’s Soundcloud page. Stream it below until then!

Kate Ellwanger, formally known as Dot, is a 22-year-old composer, vocalist, and producer who is currently signed to Alpha Pup Records. Though she started off learning from Steve Nalepa, dub beat guru, she’s evolved into Hip Hop and Electronic’s wonder women ~ and here’s why.

5. She’s a badass blonde that makes bangers
6. She has two homebases – Olympia and Los Angeles

Chill | Salt Ashes – Somebody (Cruelty Remix)

Last week I featured Satin Jackets’ latest remix of Salt Ashes’ “Somebody,” a nu-disco rendition of the synth-pop record, well this week having that tune on repeat on my SoundCloud, I couldn’t help but love the Cruelty remix of “Somebody” as well, which adds a funky touch to the original. I know I’m a month late with this one, but this track is by far underrated, and with the current exposure “Somebody” is getting, there’s no doubt this record deserves a revisit and a feature! This is a must listen and a must download!
Albums, Indie | The Blancos – Love’s Impossible

The Blancos from Brooklyn know how to make music, and that’s a fact, peep their record “Love’s Impossible,” some indie soul rock music to get you through this grey humid April afternoon. Obviously under the radar, my friend Scott hit me with 3 of their records, notably the one featured here, but make sure you check out “Lemon Garden,” and “Losing Sleep” both quality productions which explore the sample game, and capture that refreshing sound. I was also told that they have exciting news coming up, so keep an ear out for that. This is a must listen, and we’re still waiting on that download!
