Chill, Electronic | Kamandi & Polo – AASB EP

Posted by on April 12, 2014

This EP is just too cool to pass up. Kamandi and Polo have created a seven day gradual release program for the “AASB” EP. Followers get one track (on Bandcamp) and the corresponding video (on Youtube) released per day until it’s all out for sale! We are on day six now, but I couldn’t wait until day seven to post this because it caught my attention so quickly. Each track, named by a different symbol, has a unique atmosphere to it. The bass in these tracks is mind-blowing if you’ve got the right system. All the tracks are smooth, ambient, and mysterious. The vibes in this EP are hard to describe, but may be somewhere along the lines of dark, emotional, and chill. I’ve attached two tracks from Soundcloud. Click on the Bandcamp link to hear the rest and purchase the whole EP!

It’s not everyday artists and producers give out their EP for free, but The Bolivian Machine Affair trio aka TBMA did just that with their latest single “Obsessed” featuring Lynn Gvnn with remixes by Our Time, and Voltra X Leefo, and the whole project is quality! With strong vocals, and a synth heavy production, this is the kind of music that I’m a sucker for, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some ya’ll get obsessed with this one, all pun intended! This is a must listen and a must download!

Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Vonny Del Fresco – After It All (EP)

Posted by on April 5, 2014

Over the course of the past few months, we have watched Vonny Del Fresco transform his raw potential (seen in, Noir Designer) to a sound completely his own and easily digestible by a wide array of listeners.

Del Fresco has just released After It All, a second EP in the seemingly connected series of short projects he has been putting out. In comparison to his previous project, After The Fall, After It All is incredibly more refined. From the production of Kingston, BNJMN and Cam Wallace all the way to the features of Dee Phresh and Carpe DM, Vonny Del Fresco is making it clear that he is not simply another rapper to get lost in the vast abyss of internet rap.

Enjoy Vonny’s signature distorted vocals, and unique social commentary throughout After It All.

Galantis. They’re so hot right now. Dropping singles left and right. Premiering their EP on Billboard. Making tracks on some random island. Big Beat Records is really onto something. It’s not big room or progressive house, but it feels epic. It has integrity. It’s not mindless. I just really like it. No wonder Kaskade is involved in the project. How, I’m not sure. I’ve just heard rumblings. Today, their “EP” released and we can’t stop listening to it. Don’t take my word for it, listen below.

Hip-Hop, RnB | Sweater Beats – Feel Me

Sweater Beats - Feel Me

Antonio Cuna, formally known as Sweater Beats, based of of New York, dropped his That Feel EP a couple months ago and man, this is H.O.T. “Feel Me” of the That Feel EP is an instrumental straight off of a mastered Drake track. The integration of the plucking strings and the bouncing kick brings about a certain type of beat that really puts an emphasis on the project name That Feel.

Trance | ilan Bluestone – Big Ben EP

Anjunabeats revelation ilan Bluestone has released his three track EP, after “Big Ben” was premiered fittingly by Above & Beyond at Alexandria Palace in London for ABGT 50. The title track “Big Ben” may garner the most attention and pass the “anthem test” for most, but do not sleep on the rest of the EP. “Alysium” and “Waves Of LA” have the vintage ilan Bluestone sound with soaring synth driven melodies, fluttering piano and thumping basslines. We have had to endure all of this time with only one ilan Bluestone tune at a time, so we are spoiled getting three all at once.
