Chill, Electronic | Niko? Blank Flips Coyote Kisses Into Future Bass Gold
Posted by VMan on January 6, 2017
I hadn’t heard any prior releases by the up and coming producer Niko Blank, but this was a really great first impression. Putting a huge future bass take on Coyote Kisses collaborative single “Waiting For You“ featuring Madison Love, this record is unmistakably a hit. Don’t sleep on Mr. Blank!
Electronic | Coyote Kisses – Black Cat

Coming off the release of their dynamic and diverse 4 track “Thundercolor EP“ last month, Coyote Kisses return to their roots of free downloads and give away “Black Cat“, showing the slow change in direction of their sound. As an ode to their beloved, recently deceased cat Banksy, the two American producers create a unique offering of distorted vocal bits, a subtly funky bass line, lush synth chords and soothing top line. In the future look for more works in the same spectrum stylistically as this one and less and less like their previous dubstep originals remixes.

Electro | Coyote Kisses – Thundercolor EP

Oh Coyote Kisses, how I have missed your music so. It has been too long since we have had some new music from you guys and this EP is exactly what we needed. The Thundercolor EP is the longest release to date from US producers Bryce Bresnan and Joe Sussingham better known as Coyote Kisses. Trained musicians, the two of them showcase their compositional ability and the ability to create musically interesting sounding songs. The 4 track EP encompasses much of the wide variety of sounds and styles that they have embraced already in their young and promising careers, while expanding their sound even further.
While many EPs sound like 4 random songs thrown together, this one has the sound of a mini-16 minute album, giving you a small snippet of the overall creative process at work with the two of them. The EP starts slow with the soothing “Diving At Night“, mixing a slow piano melody with a pitched vocal and subtle guitar chords. “Stay With You” is most like the unique sound and style they have developed with a blend of bouncy, differentiating bass lines, bright synths, while “This Is How You Know” brings in some rock infused funk with an infectious synth melody. “Changing Of The Guard“, which can be downloaded for free here, finishes out the EP, capping off the short, but diverse journey Coyote Kisses take you on, showing off their musicianship with a prominent guitar and subtle melodic synths underneath.
A project one year in the making, Coyote Kisses give us spellbinding productions that make it entirely worth the wait. Their quality over quantity sound makes it easy to revisit each individual track plenty and with this EP, you will be back again in no time.

Coyote Kisses have been laying a little low over the past few months, and I am excited to know why now. This is just a little peak at what to expect from their upcoming EP, “Thundercolor”. Again, they come in with an awesome electric guitar and some melodic bass. I hate how short previews are, but what can you do but put this sucker on repeat until your ears bleed. Coyote Kisses’ “Thundercolor” EP officially releases on May 5th.
Track List
1. Diving at Night
2. Stay With You
3. This is How You Know

Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Featured | Seven Lions – Days To Come (Affinity Remix)

The only track in the “Days To Come” remix competition I logged in to vote for. Coyote Kisses did a decent job, but I felt their work was mediocre, along with the rest of the top ten. Affinity just doesn’t have the same pull with fans as the rest which is why I feel this track hasn’t hit the top ten…yet. This has to be one of the best remixes in this competition. Affinity might as well be Seven Lions’ long lost brother, his work on this remix is paralleled to the original, but with enough of his own masterful work to make this remix his own. With only under 20 votes, I am hoping this helps Affinity become a true contender for the top ten. He undoubtedly deserves to be there.

Trap | Clockwork – Titan (Coyote Kisses Remix)
Posted by Juicebox on September 16, 2012
Our boys over at Coyote Kisses don’t always make trap music, but when they do, they win contests & break records. They didn’t actually break any records, but they definitely just won Mad Decent’s remix contest of Clockwork’s Titan! For those of you who don’t know, Clockwork also goes by the alias RL Grime…the genius who produced Kanye West’s “Mercy.” The duo wanted to emphasize that while they switched up the style for this remix, they will not be going “trap” with their future releases. Make sure you keep these guys on your radar, they’ve got a bright future ahead of them.
Electro-House | Coyote Kisses: Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know Remix + EP
Posted by Middy on February 20, 2012
Coyote Kisses are back with a free remix of Gotye’s hit single “Somebody That I Used To Know” and their first release on Beatport. This remix is incredible with its complex bass line and intricate percussive elements, pitched and electro synths and excellent use of the very recognizable vocals from Gotye. The Beatport EP is comprised of “Acid Wolfpack”, a song many of you probably already have, and a slower electro house song with some nu disco elements and a great keytar melody. Go to their Facebook page to download the Gotye remix for free.
