The guys over at Monstercat in celebration of their 16th compilation are making it available free for download for 2 hours only starting at 12PST on their newly revamped website http://monstercat.prd.cr/ . The long awaited album includes tracks by 28 talented artists who successfully push the boundaries of modern dance music, traversing 13 genres. In addition to the release, Monstercat is also giving away for free Tristam’ single “Once Again” if you go on their website and “thunderclap” the album.. I suggest you all get on your computers when the countdown is over and download this compilation before it’s too late!

OWSLA’s latest signee, David Heartbreak has put together a last minute compilation of 12 tunes for Valentines Day. His tracks are much more energetic, but here we see the more soothing and relaxing side of the tastemaker who puts together an outstanding selection of tunes for your Valentines Day playlists. The tunes are all very melodic, chilled out trap leaning jams, that each have their own distinct moods and rhythms from the funky selection by Chooky “The Passion”, to the more subtle “Hold On” from Ste Louis & Curious Kontrol. Bass, Compilation | Bass For Autism Compilation Vol. 1

Bass for Autism consists of two parts. First, an online music festival hosted on Mixify.com. Second is a compilation of tracks from various bass heavy artists to support the cause. Some featured artists are Dodge & Fuski, Barely Alive, Bear Grillz, Subvibe, Fractal, T-Mass, and more. The compilation can be downloaded for free on Facebook, or downloaded for $9.99 on Bandcamp. All of the proceeds go to support autism research at the Organization for Autism Research. The tracks range multiple genres, but all bring the bass. I’ve posted just a few songs below. A great cause and awesome tracks? How can you resist?

I want to introduce you all to Moveltraxx, a Paris-based label that is by no means afraid to push the envelope on music: to test and stimulate its audience with a variety of styles and genres. Today, FNT was lucky enough to get the chance to premiere two tracks from their upcoming compilation “DMP6” that showcases the talent of their international caliber artists.
The first record is Ezekiel’s “Tecnica,” an original trap track with a quasi-Latin spin on it, and the second is “Aquafina” by DJ Tim Dolla, which showcases a fresh, unique sound design that just makes you want to get up and move – if you’re looking for something to slap on your way home from work and/or school today, you’ve found your winners.
DMP6 drops on January 28, so be on the lookout for a download, or pre-order on Juno.

Insight brings forth a treasure chest of gems on this compilation that is sure to keep you captivated all the way through. It’s calm, eerie and has a cool ambient atmosphere of mystery and deep thought. Some noteworthy tracks for W8 are 2,7, and 13. I’d add 4 to that list as well, but they are all worth a listen! It’s free to download if you’re into it.

After lighting up the country with their Warning Signs tour, Timeflies will be back in the studio, clocking the hours (pun intended) for their debut full length album. I can’t speak first hand on every tour stop, but based on their performance in Boston, it’s without question the level of production going into each and every one of their live shows has skyrocketed since the last time I saw them. Lights, fog, more lights, huge sound, energy, live freestyles, and much more of everything on an even larger scale.
The video above is a compilation, chopped up and blended together by Mike O’Brien Films, of several live performances of their radio ready single, “SMFWU”. Without question a fan favorite anthem off of their recent EP, Warning Signs, but this visual gives you an idea of how live these shows get.
