Hip-Hop | Blue Slide Park Release Date and ASAP Rocky

Posted by on September 18, 2011

This video is hilarious, Mac Miller is one goofy kid. This is quite a way to announce the release for an Album. For those of you who were too lazy to watch the video, “Blue Slide Park” drops November 8th.

Another album/mixtape to look forward to is coming from ASAP Rocky. Titled “LiveLoveA$AP,” it is expected to release later this month. Now Hip-Hop is not my forte, but I can honestly tell you I am really digging these tracks leaked off “LiveLoveA$AP.” “Trilla” being the better of the two in my opinion, it’s an awesome chilling tune. The verses are tight to the beat, love how they used vocals as the basis of the beat. The second track, “Demons,” is also on the chill side, but I feel its more meant for you while your tripping balls, haha. I still enjoy the track, but it’s not something you are use to hearing in Hip-Hop.

Hip-Hop, Videos | J. Cole – Can’t Get Enough ft. Trey Songz (Music Video)

Posted by on September 15, 2011

Shortly after Jermaine released what was arguably the most highly anticipated single, “Mr. Nice Watch”, off his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, featuring his mentor, boss, and father figure, Jay-Z, we received a second dosage of Cole World.  MTV premiered the visuals for Cole’s first official single (other than Lights Please & In The Morning), “Can’t Get Enough”, which features Trey Songz, as the crew takes a trip to the sunny island of Barbados.  Personally, I think this is in Cole’s top 3 to date, and the camaraderie between J and Trey is phenomenal for their first collab.  Keep an eye out around the 3:15 mark and let me know if you catch a glimpse of a little bird that Cole was rumored to have a sex tape with.  Hint, her name starts with a R and ends with ihanna.  Cole recently addressed these flakey rumors…

“I just let ’em talk. They also say I’ve got a sex tape [with Rihanna] and they say I got dropped from Roc Nation,” joked Cole. “It’s been a hell of a two weeks. They put a picture of one of my fans on the Internet and said it was my girlfriend…I figured out, now that I’m on the other side [of the rumor mill], it’s just so random. It doesn’t start from no where, it’s just like tabloids back in the day. People get paid, they making their money off of making up kind of outlandish stories. ‘Jay-Z said he gon’ beat J. Cole up when he sees him, said he better watch out.’ And it’s always a very reliable source [saying it].” – J. Cole

If you are so inclined, you can cop a preview of each song on the album HERE.  Personally, I’m not a fan of a tease, so I’m going to hold off until 9.27.11.  #ColeWorld

House, Videos | Tomorrowland Aftermovie, John Dahlback, Hard Rock Sofa,

Posted by on September 1, 2011

American festivals are on their way, but Tomorrowland just looks insane. Watch the whole video, it is worth every second of your time. This is the John Dalhback remix of Invisible, which I think is the second best remix in the package. It is similar to the Dirty South remix in that it has the same uplifting house style, but it has different synth progressions and chords.

This Hard Rock Sofa remix is fire. It has some great female vocals, a great piano lead and a stirring synth cord progression that culminates in an amazing drop that only gets better.

Hip-Hop | Lil Wayne ft. Jadakiss & Drake – It’s Good (Jay-Z Diss)

Posted by on August 24, 2011

The above video gives insight into what supposedly instigated this whole diss track. I think anybody who has the slightest bit of business acumen will chuckle when they watch this video of Birdman claiming that he’ll be a billionaire one day. If Jay-Z hasn’t done it yet, Birdman most definitely won’t. Period. Even so, this is besides the point. This diss track is yet another leak off Wayne’s The Carter IV, which will be out for digital download right after the MTV VMA’s this Sunday. If there is one thing that confuses me about this track it’s the Drake feature. Diehard Drake fans will surely remember Drizzy’s line in Fear, which was on So Far Gone.

“I never cried when Pac died, but I probably will when Hov does, and if my tears hold value, then I will drop one for everything he showed us.”

Drake isn’t the type to appear on a diss track, especially one directed towards Jay-Z, who at one point publicly admitted that he wished he had signed Drake. Additionally Hova praised Drake in his song Star Is Born. If there’s one surefire bet about this track its that if there isn’t already a Roc Nation – Young Money rivalry, then there is now… What do you think about this? Sound off in the comments section…

Hip-Hop | Styles P – Harsh (ft. Busta Rhymes & Rick Ross)

Posted by on August 16, 2011

I don’t post Hip-Hop often so when I do, you know it’s something special. Styles P and Busta Rhymes both lay down some strong bars, but the Rick Ross flare makes the track. Give it the once over, I promise you’ll be sold. Roll the windows down, crank the volume, and watch your “street cred” skyrocket.
