Dubstep, Videos | Gemini – 3D Romeo

The first single off of Gemini’s next EP, “Mercury.” The video for this track is a visual mind f#@k, it is literally just thousands of pictures of the sky set in fast-forward, I will say it is pretty artsy to watch though. The song itself is smooth Gemini bass, his technique to producing melodic Dubstep is one of the finest only to be matched by Seven Lions. The “Mercury” EP is releasing November 19th, but this single and its instrumental are now available on Beatport.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Jody Highroller Get Cozy, Freestyles For Pitchfork

“RAP GAME PERVIS ELLISON” -Jody Highroller
Is this the greatest Jody Highroller interview of all time or is this the greatest Jody Highroller interview of all time? I didn’t think anything could top the Fader interview. I really didn’t. Then Jody goes and does this. This is the perfect interview to see whether or not your friends are cool. Make them sit down and watch it. If they don’t laugh, they aren’t cool, and don’t deserve your friendship. Period. End of story.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Ariez Onasis – Victim (Short Film)
Posted by Mach on August 20, 2012
“Victim,” produced by J. Cardim, released just a week ago and finally the short film music video is. The track itself is Hip-hop with a little Dubstep flowing through the background, with the addition of samples from Katy Perry. Ariez takes this one to the chest, pumping out incredible verses that slightly alter your perception of Hip-hop’s future. The video is nothing short of a cinematic masterpiece. The true life gangster vibe from the video is cool to watch, as I’m sure it was to film.
” The goal in mind for “Victim” was simply, to make a masterpiece. The One of One production team brought forth the treatment & I was sold. Coincidentally, I had a performance booked in Athens, Greece around the time. The final product took longer than expected, but exceeded our expectations none the less. I’m very proud to present this video to the public. It is only the beginning of what’s to come for Ariez Onasis. Until next time!”

Girl Fire, Pop, Videos | Justin Bieber – As Long As You Love Me ft. Big Sean

Did the Bieber do it again or did the Beiber do it again? Just sleeping with Michael Madson’s daughter while he’s in the house like it’s no big deal. Sure, he gets beat up by a career criminal slash gaudy gold jewelry wearing bad guy. The balls on this kid though. And the dance moves. Oh, the dance moves. The swaggie is literally dripping off his $900 Lanvin sneakers. Vintage Biebs. I wonder how Selena feels though. She has to watch this and cringe. She’s like 18, right? It’s common knowledge 18 year old girls can’t be in a relationship without an unhealthy amount of jealousy. I can imagine he’s going to be in the dog house for months. Doesn’t matter though. It’s Bieber’s world and we’re just living in it.
Chill | The xx – Angels (Andrea Remix)

This is a beautiful remix, Andrea did an unbelievable job on this. The video is chill as the track itself, reflecting the track in the most usual but incredible manor. The different sceneries depicted are just as calming to watch as they are cool. Damn good remix to listen to if you just need to relax.
Freestyle, Hip-Hop, Videos | New Childish Gambino on Tim Westwood [Video]
Posted by jeffwbaird on July 14, 2012
It seems that the days of genuine freestyling are all but behind us. Once a critical part of an upcoming emcee’s resume, freestyle sessions (like those of popular English DJ Tim Westwood) have now become a place where artists preview written verses, generally covering up the fact that they actually can’t freestyle at all. In the past year or so, this fact has become even more transparent, with artists like Drake (and now Childish Gambino) literally reading their “freestyle” verses off of their phones. Call it what you want—I’d still say it’s more honest than the opposite—like when J. Cole went on Westwood last year and delivered an impeccable freestyle that we all realized a few months later was just a verse on his debut album. Regardless, Childish Gambino is blowing up fast, and not only that—he is improving ridiculously fast as a rapper. While there are definitely a few songs off of CAMP that I like to bump, on a scale of most impressive elements of the project, his flow and lyricism were dead-last. Royalty, on the contrary (which you can download here in case you missed it), is a showcase of his radical improvement, which occured most clearly in those two areas. Now, he’s on a press tour, and of course makes the critical Westwood stop to drop off a handful of newly-scribed verses (you can tell just how fresh they are when CG laughs at the “bok choy” line). Watch him drop some impressive lines over Usher’s “Lemme See”, and do justice to the Harry Fraud instrumental that has been getting torn apart lately (cc: Kinetics’ “Chris Nolan”).
Hip-Hop | Jazz Cartier – Ataraxia (Prod. by Lantz)

“My bars cause accidents watch as I damage shit.”
My posts, although few and far between, are synonymous with flowery prose used to describe the music at hand. I’m going to save you the long-drawn-out-paragraph and tell you that it would be a mistake to pass on this track from Jazz’s forthcoming “Marauding In Paradise” project. Video directed and shot by Ross Lai and Ashton Lewis.
