I despise major label contracted remixes. There’s something about knowing that an out of touch person at a label grasping for relevancy reaches out to notable (actually cool) producers to remix their mindless top 40 radio smash. Just doesn’t sit well. That said, I’m a forgiving blogger and can read between the lines. Earlier this month Don Diablo dropped his “Burnin’ Up” remix via Casablanca Records. It was featured this morning on Oliver Heldens latest “Heldeep Radio” episode, and rightfully so.
This “Burnin’ Up” remix is indeed fire. Hats off to Don Diablo for bringing the heat.

I’ve had the opportunity to witness Matt Zanardo live in action and I have to say, his productions are a testament to the types of parties he maintains on a consistent basis. Hailing from the jungles of Toronto, Canada, he’s recently blessed the HYSTERIA! and Dim Mak labels with some heavy releases and “Keep It Funky” is nothing less. Adventure Club’s track “Gold ft. Yuna” has been remixed a zillion times by now, but I liked this trap spin on it. It’s been a while since I’ve heard anyone touch this song. Candyland & Revoke gave it a different energy with chill trap beats, and a higher pitched melody to make it unique. I feel like the song tells a new story with this emotional flip. These two are always pumpin’ out trap bangers, and this remix was not a disappointment. Grab it for free if it’s your style!

I know I just recently posted about Mr FijiWiji but this track is so beautiful I can’t resist. Mr FijiWiji nailed this remix of “Under Your Cloud” by Myon & Shane 54 and Late Night Alumni. The vocals are killer and the buildups to the melodic drops are nothing short of phenomenal. The piano adds a melancholy touch, as well as the vocal warping in the second half of the track.
