I think it’s fair to say that we all wanted more “Sexy Back” from Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl Halftime performance. Thankfully, Birthdayy Partyy has come through with their own version of “Sexy Back” that satisfies the desire we had left over from earlier this month. I think these twins have released more singles this year than anybody else – excluding album releases. They just launched in mid-January and already have four releases on their hands. Events | Above & Beyond Bring Group Therapy To Atlantic City

Still riding high from incredibly successful release of their stunning acoustic album, Above & Beyond came to the Tri-State area during Super Bowl weekend for a dose of Group Therapy at HQ Nightclub in Atlantic City. They have very few upcoming shows on the docket for this spring, so I knew that this one was a must attend, notably just after the acoustic album. I saw them in DC the weekend after they released Group Therapy, so this is becoming a tradition of mine to see them live after they release an album. I see no reason to stop. Cover, Mashups, Videos | Timeflies Tuesday – Red Hot Bruno Peppers

Timeflies throw it back, but also keep it current with a mashup cover of Scar Tissue x Grenade. After a recent announcement that the RHCP would be added to the likes of Bruno Mars and whatever other Super Bowl surprises, this could be a realistic preview of what’s to come Sunday night. Taking one of the best songs of the best decade, the 90’s, and lacing it with Bruno Mars’ 2010 hit, this is certainly a unique release for Cal and Rez. I’m shocked no one mentioned the pitiful musical performances put on last night at the Super Bowl. I did not expect The Black Eyed Peas to butcher their popular songs so badly, but fortunately for them most peoples attention has been focused on Christina Aguilera’s disgraceful attempt to sing the National Anthem. I almost posted the video but it’s just too awkward for me to handle. Not only did she add way too much spice to the tune, she forgot several of the lines. Thankfully there weren’t like a ton of people watching Fox last night… At least I can say the Doritos video above helped soothe the pain – this was definitely my favorite commercial of the night.
