With his pre-album mixtape in the rearview, Sammy is working diligently on his debut LP that is set to hit stores in 2012. Into The Wild garnered great success despite Sammy’s brief hiatus, reassuring his fans he is back working harder than ever to deliver a chart topping album. Sam’s camp put together a brief video highlighting five tracks off Boston’s America’s Boy’s mixtape with fresh new visuals to compliment them. In addition to plenty of new music, Sam is likely preparing for his spring tour which has not been officially announced yet, outside of his upcoming show at The Gramercy Theatre in NYC on March 16th. Mac Miller hit the dojo with Ski for a new cut off his upcoming album, 24 Hour Karate School Presents: Twilight. Kickin’ some incredibly dope shit (no pun intended) over this wavy Ski Beatz production, this is the freshest track I’ve heard from Mac in a minute. As expected, the project will feature some hot up and comers as well as some scout-able underground talent. Hit the break for the full track listing, album in stores this Valentuesday.

After touring for the past year and change, Sam Adams decided to kick things off this year by giving his fans what they’ve all been waiting for, new music. This 10 track free pre-album entitled Into The Wild is just a taste of what is in store for 2012. Special shout out to Sam’s DJ, Jayceeoh, who helped mix, cut, and master the project.

Been some time since anyone has heard some new Sam Adams. For those of you who didn’t like Sam’s dubstep/hip-hop tracks over the summer, this is a nice change of style. Rapping over The Pixies, Where Is My Mind?, Sam has a lot of work to do to build back his fan base after this hiatus of his. Can he do it? Of course he can. Listen to this track, is that not enough to show you Boston’s Boy has still got it? Haters are going to hate on this, but going unbiased on this, realizing what Sam has and has not gotten away with in the past. This is just the beginning before he really blows up.

Pop | G. Curtis – We Made It (Music Video)

It’s been a minute since we heard from G. Curtis, but over the summer he released his debut LP album, Maximum Volume. I was very impressed with the project and don’t think it got the full credit it deserves. G explores with Pop, RnB, Electro, and a bite size bar of rap. In addition, he has Sam Adams, Cal (of Timeflies), PJ Simas, & Cam Meekins among other features that give several tracks some added flavor. Here’s the video for “We Made It”, which apparently has been coined the new anthem for the Dallas Mavericks championship run. I was unaware to this point, but this was probably my favorite solo track off the album and the video is just as impressive. #BurnInHellLebron

Hip-Hop | Kinetics & One Love – If I Die Young (Remix)

Kinetic & One Love are the hottest thing since sliced bread. I am a fan of Sam Adams, Chris Webby, XV, and all the other hot up and coming hip-hop artists, but none in my mind compare to the mic killer, Kinetics. I wont lie, I am a big fan of the original of “If I Die Young.” Kinetics & One Love did an incredible job remixing this track.

This new Sam Adams leak is a straight up ELECTRO BANGER remix of Wolfgang Gartners hit “Push and Rise”. Few artists can tackle energetic and up-beat tracks like Sam who has mastered the concept of adding value to the songs he flips. There’s a lot to be said for that considering the industry is over-saturated with a handful of songs that artists recycle but fail to improve. This electro pop genre is his forte. I think we’ll be seeing an even more refined version of this out of Sam in his album which is set to drop in the near future. In fact, I can confirm that since I’ve heard a number of the cuts. As for the background of this track – I don’t have too much info aside from the fact that I heard it several months ago – long before he started working on his album material. Haters are going to hate, but try to do yourself a favor and give this an unbiased listen. (Note: this is NOT an official release, it’s just a LEAK I got my hands on)
