Hip-Hop | Rick Ross ft. Meek Mill- So Sophisticated
Posted by A on May 22, 2012
Rawse, you’ve got me worried right now. God Forgives, I Don’t is coming July 31st, and I’m sweating more than you usually sweat in the sauna. I know you’ve always saved your best singles for last, but “Touching You” and “So Sophisticated” aren’t going to get he job done. Ross, I’m as white as it gets, but I love your message, music and spirit. It embodies hard work, and making something out of nothing. I can relate to that.
What I can’t relate to is that you’re not living up to my standards…
Hip-Hop | Childish Gambino – We Ain’t Them
Posted by J_Salzer on May 17, 2012
After embarking on a twitter rant for the record books, Donald Glover graced us with the link to a new track in between defending himself from internet nobodies. It frustrates me seeing how this guy is treated(and tweeted). People need to accept Childish Gambino for what he is. He’s a comedian, who can make a damn good beat, and kills it every time. His talents are un matched in the music game right now, and also has the ability to produce, act, all the while getting laughs, and hate. This hate has made him who he is, if he didn’t get hated on, he would probably run out of material, being that most of his songs are reflective of his past. Without further adieu, I’ll let you dissect Gambino’s newest track, We Ain’t Them. And haters, try this, stop having a preconcieved notion in your head of what a rapper is SUPPOSED to be, and just try and enjoy the damn music.
Dubstep | Kimbra – Settle Down (TYR & Rodway Remix)
Posted by Mach on May 15, 2012
This has to be one of my favorite remixes right now. It is a submission into Warner Bros. Records Inc. remix competition, which is part of Kimbra’s upcoming album, ‘Vows.’ Kimbra, made extremely famous being featured in Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Use To Know,’ has an incredible voice. She has the indie stye to her voice, with the power to achieve world peace in it. One of the most important factors to this remix is that TYR & Rodway made sure there was still a lot of emphasis put on her vocals. The remix seems simple, yet it is a work of art at the same time. An incredible job done by the two, I really hope they win the competition.
Chill, Dubstep, Exclusive | Joey Pecoraro – Sign Me
Posted by W8 on May 8, 2012
As of right now, we all have to reavaluate our current definition of “chill”. All thanks to Joey Pecoraro, a 17 year old beatmaker from Michigan. To say I had this record on repeat for the better part of all day yesterday would be an understatement, never was there even a lingering thought to turn this off. Although one thing did come to mind – it deserved a lengthening. I asked if Joey would do that, and thankfully he did. Sign Me is expelled from time in somewhat of a colorful hypnosis, so whether you are smoking something potent or simply doing whatever it is that you do, Sign Me is that track.

Girl Fire, Mashups | TheRealBigChaz – Somebody That I Used To Call
Posted by BIGLIFE on May 1, 2012
When I got my hands on this GIRL FIRE track, there was really only one appropriate person to call on, Betches Love This. Why even waste my time writing something up, when they could so eloquently wrap everything up:
“Remember the time you were just like, why, God, hasn’t anyone made a mix of like all the songs that I love right now? Don’t you know how annoying it is to press next on my iTunes remote? Well betches we’re happy to tell you that your prayers have been answered and you don’t even need to get on your knees to say thank you! … to pray, that is. The only person you should be thanking today is The Real Big Chaz and obvi Fresh New Tracks. There’s a reason these people wanted us to share this song with you betches first before anyone else, and it’s because you’re going to fucking love it.
Whoever said Blackout Tuesday isn’t a thing was seriously disturbed.”
