As I sit here writing this post, I find it very difficult to describe Jacuzzi and the genre which he has begun to take over. The newest offering “Torture” features Soulection’s own, Mr. Carmack and combines everything from trap to house. The song is a mere 1:31 seconds long, so enjoy it while you can and don’t sleep on Jacuzzi any longer than you have already.
“Torture” is included in Part 1 of the ‘Seppuku’ series, meaning that with any luck we will be hearing more from the producers, soon!

Celebrating my first post in a while with some Erik Hassle & Vic Mensa. After four weeks of movin’ around the country and making it safely back to California, I FINALLY have internet, which I’ve been without for quite awhile…So long stone age!!!
Off his upcoming “Somebody’s Party EP” set to release 3/4/14, Erik Hassle has dropped some seriously intimate songs. I’m not one to jump and post a ushy gushy article either, but this song has rubbed off on me the last couple of days and the beat is simply to die for. Enjoy your afternoon while I enjoy my Facebook feed… And this song for that matter.

It appears as though I, Mel, am going to be providing you guys with FNT’s first post of the year. This is a big honour because, well, first off, nobody else wanted to do it. Don’t worry though everyone, I was here for you and jumped at the opportunity when I realized I was pretty bored and really had nothing else to do.
The song that will be ringing in the new year here at FNT is provided by Frenchman Uppermost. “Reminder” is a french house track infused with some nu disco vibes. It features a funky guitar as well as nicely done vocal chops. Well, I have met and some might even say surpassed my quota of talking about the song at three sentences so I will just leave it at that. Uppermost is an outstanding producer and if you like this track there is plenty more on his Soundcloud.

One cool thing that happened to me this year was that I got hired on to write for FNT. I have followed this website for years and it has led me to mountains of great music. I’m glad that I now have the opportunity to share music with the website. This year I became a bigger fan of mixes; I love to see what artists can do when given an extended period of time within which they can be creative. Below is the list of 10 mixes that I liked the most from this past year, with some other mixes mentioned at the end that didn’t make this list based on who knows what. The list is more or less ranked in order, with mix #1 definitely being my favourite. If you don’t want to listen to all of the mixes, and don’t care what I have to say about them, then skip ahead and at least listen to the number 1 mix – Space Jams by The M Machine (hence the above, cool picture of those guys). One the best and most anonymous Garage producers is back, releasing yet another breathtaking installment. The “Rival Dealer” EP is already a chart topper on countless vinyl websites across the internet. Today I bring you the first previews heard from the new EP and it comes to no surprise to this avid listener that he has continued the legacy that is Burial. Each track is of its own world and will without a doubt continue to top the charts pre-release and post. If you have never indulged your ears on Burial’s work, it is a revelation that all should experience. The “Rival Dealer” EP will be available on vinyl with one track on CD as well as be available for digital download on Dec. 16th.
Edit: Previews have been taken down, but this EP is definitely something worth the buy on the day of release.

Wave Racer has been one of my favorite new artists with his bouncy take on so many different songs. The Future Classic label is stacked and Australia is budding with emerging new producers and Wave Racer is at the forefront. The whistles mixed with the bouncy bass and catchy synths are magical. This one is going to be on repeat forever, and I’ve already been stuck on his Always Remix, which I will post below. Get in tune with Wave Racer and his social media outlets below and show some love!
