Electro | FNT Premiere: Obeyah – Drunk In Baltimore
Posted by admin on July 21, 2014
Another “Drunk In Love” remix you say? Yes, I reply. Absolutely, yes. “Drunk In Baltimore” is a funky, club-ready record from D.C. based producer, Obeyah. Featuring a select few sped-up vocals from Beyonce, the song certainly spins the original on it’s head and keeps you fist-pumping for it’s full three and a half minute duration. And it’s this excitement and energy that Obeyah has been able to bring to countless shows and events including the Mad Decent Block Party, and an opening gig for RL Grime.
Obeyah doesn’t add any unnecessary fluff to the record, the production is simple, refreshing, and enjoyable. Grab this download and spice up your Monday night a bit.

The Blancos just hit me up with their latest release “Say Goodnight” and every time they send me new music, it gets better and better! This latest tune is so raw in its sound that it’ll give you the chills, on some classic blues/rock record that drops late night at a near empty Nashville, TN bar, if you’re catching my drift. Still on the come-up, but very much making waves in the music scene, I would follow these guys closely if I were you, I think their sound is going to catch on, and it’s going to catch on quick, so get with it. This is a must listen and a must download!

Chill, Compilation, Mix | WhitneyAbstraKt – A Night With Leyla
Posted by admin on July 5, 2014
Curation is key. It is this fact alone that has allowed music streaming services such as Songza and Beats to be purchased for millions and millions of dollars this past year. And, it is this fact that keeps talented curators in the front of our minds and ears.
In the wake of endless singles, one-off radio hits, and all-around clutter in music it is nice to know that there are those out there that will spend tireless hours of their own time to bring a collection of the best music to your ears. Today, this glorious mix of tunes is brought to us by WhitneyAbstraKt in conjunction with Artistic Manifesto.
The mix is self-described as follows: “It’s a mild spring evening, the wind is gently blowing through her hair, and you’re out enjoying a night on the town. You have one thing in mind, but the night carries you in an entirely different direction. Before you know it, dawn has arrived and you realize that the entire night has been one hazy, disorienting, pleasurable blur. You just experienced “A Night With Leyla.” This is your soundtrack.”
Enjoy the eclectic musical stylings, and have a great Saturday night to accompany it.
Progressive House | Christopher Blake feat. Jenny Karr – White Nights
Posted by Mel on June 24, 2014
There are times when I come across a song and for a number of possible reasons, it makes me suspicious. When an individual by the name of Kathy dropped a link to a song in our chat box advertising it, in broken english, as the “song of tomorrorland”, I was expecting to be disappointed once I heard it and come back after my listen to delete the link, like I do all the submissions people put in the chat box. I actually really enjoyed the song however, and there was a pretty young lady dancing in the music video which just added to the enjoyment. After some in depth research, five or so minutes, I found that the producer of this song, Christopher Blake, not only doesn’t have a Soundcloud account, but judging by his Facebook page that was created less than a month ago, this is his first song. I am currently writing this on a Monday night, the scariest of nights, and this story only gets freakier. This song is the first single for the label behind the track, devilfish records. They have not released anything prior.
Even though this whole situation is extremely suspicious, the song is awesome. I even bought it on Beatport, something I never do, except for sometimes. If anyone has any more information on this, feel free to let me know. Until then, you can grab the song from the Beatport link below.
Deep House, Pop | Sam Smith – Stay With Me (TEFlo Summer Remix)
Posted by Mel on June 23, 2014
I’ll make this quick, because no reason. TEFlo, a Norwegian producer remixed Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” wonderfully. The tempo has been upped a tad and the addition of a bright lead takes this track to another level.

With 1 day away from Summer, I will make my announcement now and I don’t care who’s judging: “Bailando” by Sean Paul featuring Sean Paul, Gente De Zona, and Descemer Bueno is this Summer’s hit record, and Mack And Jet Set Vega’s progressive house remix takes it to the clubs! All I see when I hear this tune is everyone looking fresh and sexy, having a great time on a hot Summer night, and heck it’s Friday, so hopefully this one inspires you to go out tonight and enjoy the night, or heck save it for the car ride on the way to the beach tomorrow morning, you’re going to love it! This is a must listen!
Electronic | Banks – Drowning (Howl Edit)
Posted by Mel on May 29, 2014
I was at the mall earlier looking for a scarf for my bro when I checked my phone to see an email from Soundcloud. Howl, the mysterious producer behind these great songs had messaged me again, like he always does when he wants something. I wouldn’t call him a toxic friend, but he is close. He also released a new song last night, an edit of Banks’ “Drowning”, and it is really good. A lot of the original remains but what he did change was a big improvement to the already impressive original.
