No Pets Allowed’s manager Ken sent this over last night, and it’s an epic remix of 3LAU, Paris & Simo, and Bright Lights’ “Escape.” At the moment there is no download link as he submitted this for a remix competition on Beatport, and I wish him luck. Much like most EDM music being released at the moment, this remix incorporates elements of progressive house, dubstep, and trance, and I love it. I wouldn’t be surprised if this remix made its way onto the set list of many festival DJs, it’s that good! Must listen! Great work No Pets Allowed, keep them coming!

Mr. Aaron Carmack seems like a cool dude. I’m a big fan of his music styles and of the way that he (like Deadmau5) has a Soundcloud profile dedicated exclusively to posting his unreleased tracks. On his profile you will find a whole collection of unreleased gems spanning many genres, many of them defying definition. A lot of his songs have trap influences and nuances; this track being one of them. He builds a great chill vibe around the old Gladys Knight original vocals. It’s a soothing tune all the way through, but when the keys come in around the 2 minute mark, you just can’t help but sink back into your chair and relax. He is giving this one away as a free download, so grab it and toss it into the running for songs that start your day or finish your night.

Rudimental have taken the world by storm. Their single “Feel The Love” rose to the top of the charts in the UK and became a worldwide phenomenon. They have not stopped there with a host of other chart topping singles like “Not Giving In” and “Waiting All Night”. Their live show is about as energetic and “live” as there is in dance music, bringing what they call “a carnival atmosphere” to every festival and city they visit. The foursome have come a long way with their album “Home”, showing their strong UK dance influences, while keeping it soulful and unique on every track.
We had the chance to chat with them after their show with Emili Sandé two weeks ago in Central Park and talk about their incredible music videos, trying to build on their success and what they have coming up, including tracks with The Game and Ed Shereen. As many of you probably know by now, last night during a commercial break of the VMA’s a Beats by Dre commercial announced the title and release date of Eminem’s 8th Studio album. Dubbed “The Marshall Mathers LP 2”, this is the sequel to the fastest-selling studio album by any solo artist in American music history and it’s set to release on 11/5/13. Berzerk is the first single off the album and it has a old school Beastie Boys vibe to it. The Stans are going to love it and the people who are still praying for the old Eminem to return probably wont. Let’s just hope this album will live up to it’s name. Stream the track below.
Events, Review | 5 Things I Learned and Saw At Electric Adventure

In a little Throwback Thursday edition of event reviews, we have Electric Adventure, the 2-day festival that took place at Six Flags, in New Jersey over the 3rd and 4th of August. It combined a bass and trap heavy lineup, with some of the premier roller coasters on the eastern seaboard, giving you an experience where your adrenaline was always pumping, unless you were waiting in line for rides. The lineup was well rounded with guys like Dillon Francis, Seven Lions, GTA, 12th Planet and Zeds Dead all performing over the 2 days.
