Electronic | Must Hear Cover From Tamper
Posted by GMONEY on August 5, 2015
We usually avoid posting anything too indie, but these guys deserve it. Originating from Australia & Northern Ireland, this duo randomly met in a coffee shop in Manhattan and haven’t looked back since. The drop is unexpected and we couldn’t be happier about it. It’s something new, which isn’t easy to find. The downtempo “indietronica” sound is dark, but beautiful. These guys are going to be dropping a few more covers over the next few months, so stay tuned and snag the free download on the player!
Future Funk | EDEN Brings Together Future Bass With Pop Vibes On “End Credits”
Posted by Tay on August 3, 2015
It’s rare to find an artist with stand-out skills in singing, songwriting, and production, but Jonathan Ng, better known as the artist, EDEN, has found his niche by delivering a sound that blends elements of indie, pop, and dance to create a stunning product. His EP, End Credits, shows off his various abilities, as he weaves together future bass with infectiously catchy pop croons and an indie coat – and the lead single and title track of the EP is a lesson in EDEN’s music. “End Credits” comes off as a pop anthem early on, but it quickly morphs to incorporate elements of future bass to create an interesting dynamic. “End Credits” is the third of seven singles to be released off the EP, so keep an eye out for more out of EDEN.

Nu Disco | Jerry Folk Releases His Newest Nu-Disco Single “Futura”
Posted by Tay on July 23, 2015
Fresh off of his stellar remix of Oh Wonder’s “Lose It,” Jerry Folk is back with his second original, “Futura,” a nu-disco masterpiece that showcases the Norwegian producer’s various influences. It’s rare to find a producer who can float between genres as effortlessly as Jerry Folk, as his signature nu-disco style often blends with other influences like house and indie. Old-school, 70’s-inspired synths wash over the production in “Futura,” while a plucking bass guitar and driving piano melody gives the track a deep groove fitting for a 4 am warehouse rave. You can peep “Futura” above!

Indie | photocomfort Delivers A Stellar Debut Original “No Love”
Posted by Tay on July 17, 2015
As dance music slowly crosses over into the mainstream, we’ve started to see talented producers take their music in different creative directions outside of the box, and the results have been splendid. Genres that people previously thought could never fit together meshed and turned into more unique, niche sub-genres of dance music, and this sonic experimentation has only led to the emergence of new styles of music. Indie rock artists used to stay away from electronic music, but a few brave souls found a way to combine indie rock with electronic textures to great success, and now, indie-electronica is a steadily rising genre in dance music with plenty of emerging bands like Photocomfort. Hailing from Brighton, MA, the trio of musicians is storming onto the scene with their debut single, “Not Love,” a stellar indie-electronica masterpiece. The soaring croons of the lead vocalist are the perfect complement to the electro-tinged percussion accents and heavy-handed bass strikes. You can stream “Not Love” above.
