This track is a little weird. Cluttered with futuristic plucks and sounds ‘Look Out’ is a freshly constructed futuristic indie track with seductive vocals. This is a track made for a long drive. With vocals like they were sung by Thomas Mars (of Phoenix) Bad Wave have something brewing here and its catching on.

Exactly one year ago, up-and-coming vocalist and writer LARCY left her position with the New York Times to make a run at the music industry. Following up on her “Best Friend” and “Locked Up” singles that garnered over one million unique spins, LARCY brings us “Running” produced by freshnewtracks favorite Gazzo. Nothing excites me quite as much as young people with a passion for music.
Enter: BEND, the duo of college students who make indescribable Pop/Indie/Alternative sounds from their respective dorm rooms. Both originally from Los Angeles, vocalist, Sean, relocated to New York while producer, Garrett, stayed close to home at the University of Southern California.
Limited by their time apart during the school year, BEND spends countless hours during the Summer writing, producing, and recording. As they prepare to release their next project, Sean and Garrett unleash, “Four”. The song is co-produced by blackbear and shows the immense all-around talent of the band.
It had been nearly a year since last putting out a song. The artistic growth is palpable, and one can only imagine what is still in the vault, awaiting the public’s ears.

But coming back to this world (I know it sucks we have to wait until April), The Chainsmokers deliver a feel filled remix that has the vintage stylistic nuances we have come to know from their past indie remixes. Progressive House | Magic Man – Out Of Mind (Live City Remix)

Ethan of Live City told me I could just write “It’s great, download it now” for a post, but I have a bit higher standards then that. Continuing their trend of indie remixes, Live City release their officially sanctioned remix for Magic Man “Out Of Mind” for free 99. They keep much of the original feel, notably the vocals, but add a cheery melody and poignant piano to the tune. As previously stated, it is free so grab it below.

Alternative, Chill | Prelow – Mistakes Like This

It takes a lot for an alternative or indie band to stick out to me. My ear isn’t particular honed in this genre, and I never like to point people in the direction of an artist or song that isn’t amazing. Luckily for me and you, I have no qualms telling you the Prelow is one of the most exciting and intriguing Indie bands out right now, period.
With only three songs in the entirety of their catalogue, the New York duo has shown us many sides and an incredible amount of talent.
Their most recent song “Mistakes Like This” is another huge leap forward in their music. The blunt chorus immediately stands out to listeners, contrasted against the tender verses. Take a listen below to the all-to-relatable song.
