Alternative | Cristina Soto Revists Her Tritonal Collab, “Lifted,” with Acoustic Mix
Posted by VMan on April 29, 2021
In 2020, singer-songwriter Cristina Soto revisited her breakout hit with electronic power-duo Tritonal, “Still With Me,” and her Illenium and Said The Sky collaboration, “Painted White,” with acoustic mixes. As Soto’s hit classic with Tritonal, “Lifted,” approaches its tenth birthday this year, she continues her hot streak by returning with a new acoustic rendering. The indie / acoustic infused take on the original is a very different vibe but I am still really into it. The mellow soundscape is blissful and feels like a sunny afternoon in Spring, and as I write this it’s exactly that so it’s a perfect fit. Enjoy it now above!

Gryffin first teased the track at Coachella by closing out each of his performances with it. The result? The crowd went wild. It’s been a pleasure watching this young producer climb his way to the top and once he starts dishing out those originals, we can only imagine how his popularity will skyrocket. Gryffin has been an anomaly on the Internet over the past couple years with his savant-like ability to craft infectious melodies and bumping basslines. While his first two singles “Heading Home” and “Whole Heart” were incredible successes, the LA-based multi-instrumental is pushing the envelope with his new offering, “Feel Good,” where he teamed up with melodic bass favorite Illenium and Grammy-winning vocalist Daya. Beautiful yet powerful and an intricate balance of dance and pop element, this trio offer up one of the most promising tracks of the spring and it’ll be interesting to see it blossom.
