Chill, Hip-Hop, Mixtapes, Rap | Jetpack Jones – Afterburners 3 Mini Movie (FNT Exclusive)
Posted by J_Salzer on January 22, 2013
FNT favorite and frequenter Jetpack Jones drops off his longest video to date. Being the fact that it’s quite literally a mini-movie, it spans 7 and a half minutes, but they’re an enjoyable 7 and a half minutes. Jetpack and a few of the homies that will be featuring on Afterburners 3 all star in the movie. The music is on point, my favorite track being the old school sample one that happens after the first encounter with LB, who’s clowning on a statue in King park. Jetpack Jones is the only rapper I know who has been consistently releasing good music for the past two years, and if this is any indication of what his next project will be like, then I can’t wait. Like his facebook page below and check out the video above.

On the heels of the post below, crafted by my legendary partner Mach, I give you another take on Justin Timberlake’s latest single. PropaneLv puts his own twist on the pop sensations latest. I really like this version, but I was a fan of the original, unlike the blogfather, A. This video was edited by FNT veteran Chi Duly, so you know it’s good. Check it out above and make sure you check out Propane’s twitter, you won’t regret it.

FYI, Pop | Justin Timberlake – I’m Ready
Posted by J_Salzer on January 10, 2013
Before everyone gets too excited, I’m obligated to tell all of you that this is not an actual song. The song will come at some point in the next 5 days, and expect it to be on FNT within 7 seconds of its release. This brief video is a small look into Justin Timberlake’s musical mind. This dude has been crazy busy, juggling acting, music, and reviving washed up social media websites. Good to hear how much of perfectionist he is, which gives me hope that his album(rumored to be produced by Timberland), will be nothing less than the best. Check out the black and white minute video above and be on the lookout for a J-Tim drop on SUNDAY.
Also, for the sake of news, Destiny’s Child also announced that they will be releasing a new song to add to their career compilation, “Love Songs.” The track will be produced by Virginia native Pharrell and will feature the last 3 members of DC, the trio of Beyoncé, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland. Looks like 2013 is the year of the comeback. Be on the lookout for that release on January 29th.
Dubstep | Robert Miles – The Children (Deckscar Reworked Mix)[PREVIEW]
Posted by Sev on January 8, 2013
Up and coming artist Deckscar has been working on this track for some 6 months now as a monster exclusive for the FNT fans. I got in contact with this talented artist a while back in hopes of working something out with him, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the end result. This track is surely going to make some noise in the EDM scene, reworking an old dance craze favorite. To help show our support for him, I decided that we would release the track at 1k fans on his Facebook page to help grow his fan base a little more for his other outstanding upcoming releases.
Hip-Hop | OnCue – Cereal (Prod. by CJ Luzi)
Posted by Grubeats on January 3, 2013
What’s up FNT family, it’s been too long since we last connected. Now that the holidays have passed and the frigid temperatures have forced me to post up on top of my heated mattress, it’s time to feed my blogetite. Knowing I had to come back with heat, I cordially present to you Cuey’s first release off his sixth coming mixtape, Angry Young Man. As expected, board work comes from the 22-year old Jersey native, CJ Luzi. Although this track may have felt like a long time coming, I can assume you “Cereal” was worth the wait. Cuey’s voice is ripe and his raps are as potent as ever. With releases of this caliber, it won’t be long before these two are graduating from “cereal for dinner”.
Exclusive, Featured, Interviews | Dzeko & Torres Talk Food, Beginnings, Dance Music in Canada & more in an Interview with FNT
Posted by Middy on December 29, 2012
Canadian duo, Julian Dzeko & Luis Torres, better known as Dzeko & Torres have come a very long way since their single “Confronted” was released on Chuckie’s Dirty Dutch Digital Vol. 4 just a year and a half ago. The long time friends quickly found that working with each other would be the ideal working situation and from there it was only a matter of time before it took off. They were able to grow their profile with free remixes of Monsters and Men “King and Lionheart” and Animal Kingdom “Strange Attractor” that promptly spread like wildfire. They had a track signed to Michael Woods’ Diffused Records, a remix of Trey Songz “Heart Attack” on Atlantic Records, their collab with ANSOL, “Yeah” on Mixmash, and their most recent release, their “Hey EP” on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak imprint.
However, their biggest success was with their remix of Chuckie’s “Who Is Ready To Jump” that even as they said half jokingly “literally I think Afrojack’s mom dropped it”. They were able to get gigs on both sides of the Atlantic, expanding their growing influence outside of the confines of Toronto into London, Miami and elsewhere. Having just signed to AM Only and with consistent support from some of the biggest names in the game like Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Chuckie and others, the sky is the limit for these guys. Start the interview below and check out the rest after the jump as we discuss advise they were given from another DJ, future plans and their love for food. I was talking to both of them at the same time, but it is mainly Luis Torres who was communicating during the interview.
FNT: When did you guys decide that you wanted to work together and make this official?
D&T: It actually started pretty soon after we met. We used to promote and frequent all ages club events in Toronto and we both had a love for house music (i guess people call it EDM now) and then i remember Julian went to a Tiesto show and pretty much as soon as he got home, he was convincing his parents to help him buy some CDJs. I had already been fooling around in FL Studio for a year or 2 and so we decided to start working with eachother and learn off eachother. Took about 2 years of goofing around for us to finally take it seriously though.
FNT: When, if at all did it hit you that doing this could really work?
D&T: I think originally we were just having fun, just doing it because we truly enjoyed it. I never really felt like my goofing around in FL would ever take me anywhere and im sure that Julian didnt think that buying CDJs would get him anywhere either. It took a while, but i think the breakthough point for us was when we started talking to Chuckie and he gave us a release on Dirty Dutch, which at the time was one of our favourite labels and we felt like it was massive for us.
Hip-Hop | ProbCause – Three Course Meal (Ft. Action Bronson)

We’ve featured MC Probacause on the site before, but now you’re definitely going to want to pay him more attention. Enlisting phenomenal features from two FNT favorites, Chef Bronson and Chance The Rapper, Prob outshines them both displaying his promising skills. The track will be featured on his upcoming project The Recipe vol. 2. Make sure to look back for that project, but in the mean time get yourself acquainted with ProbCause and his music.
