Girl Fire, Pop | Flo Rida Ft. Ne-Yo – Gotta Get Ya
Posted by GMONEY on January 8, 2012
I’m just on fire with my posts right now. First the Rick Ross mixtape, then the Jean-Roch post, now this. Christmas came early folks. I had a hard time blogging this one because I was too busy awkwardly dancing in my apartment. Trust me, it was awkward. The man who survives single to single (Flo-Rida) is back at it again with another leak following “Wild Ones” ft. Sia, who looks just like Betsey Johnson. No word on who produced the track, but it’s absolute audio fire. Download at your own risk.

This is what I’m talking about. I can already see young impressionable women grinding (gasp) on the dance floor while simultaneously doing that annoying sorority-girl finger point thing. Seriously though, what’s up with that? If you’re a sorostitute, you know what I’m talking about. Don’t shake your head. Don’t act like you’re above that. You know you’re not. I’m not hating though. Grind on in those yoga pants girl, grind on. No word on whether or not this is Flo-Rida’s official single, but I can dig it. Whatever you do, however, don’t google Sia. Very unfortunate looking. I’m so mean. My New Years resolution is to blog more, and be less judgmental towards the female population. Doubt that will happen though, since I’m more of a “come and meet me in the bathroom stall, and show me why you deserve to have it all” type of guy. That sh*t kray. Only skinny blogger in a sauna with food.

Videos | MTV Best Freshman Video: Split Second – Barely Legal
Posted by BIGLIFE on December 6, 2011
Our friends and FNT regulars, Split Second, are in this week’s MTVU “Best Freshman Video”. Since they’ve got some stiff competition (including a brutal Flo-Rida track), they’ve enlisted the help of FNT to give them a much needed boost. So take a second (get it) out of your day to pay these guys back for the music they’ve provided you by voting for their video – HERE.

Na Palm coming out strong with his latest visuals for “Two Days Straight”, off his recent album, Late At Night. This is no minor league music video boys and girls, this is the real deal and Nay is rolling with the vets on this one. The video itself was shot on set in LA by one of the industry’s leading director’s, Taj Stansberry, who has worked with the likes of Rihanna, Pitbull, Luda, J-Lo, Breezy, Ne-Yo & many more. The video itself is filled with playmates, lights, bottles, biddies, and the anticipated cameo from Flo Rida himself; just what I expected from the Tricoastal crew. This piece of work will hopefully lead FNT’s favorite party boy to the mainstream lane he’s so eagerly awaiting.
P.S. I’d recommend tossing this one in 1080p and expanding it to full screen to get the full effect.

Hip-Hop, House | Flo Rida ft Taio Cruz – Hangover
Posted by Juicebox on August 26, 2011
As we explained in a post a few weeks ago, Flo Rida originally ripped Avicii’s “Levels” as the instrumental for this track…however he clearly learned that wouldn’t fly and went with a different beat. You can still hear a little of the “Levels” melody at a few different points, which makes me hate a Flo Rida a little more than I already do. To read the full controversy click here.

Hip-Hop | Flo-Rida ft Taoi Cruz – Hangover (Snippet) [Avicii Controversy]
Posted by Juicebox on July 26, 2011
This controversy is old news, but with what looks like a soon to be official release of this track, here’s a brief explanation of what happened. Flo-Rida dropped a song featuring him rapping over Avicii’s “Levels” or “ID” which left people confused to say the least. Had everyone’s favorite new comer Avicii already sold out? Did Flo-Rida see the rising potential and amazing melodies found in Avicii and decide to seize the opportunity before someone else did? Thankfully, Avicii hadn’t sold out and Flo-Rida had used the track without permission. To take control of the situation, Avicii took matters to Twitter. He fired back with a few different tweets explaining that he did not in fact give Flo-Rida permission to use the track and there was not a collaboration in the works.
However, this snippet of Flo-Rida & Taio Cruz just leaked which features the same key as Avicii’s “Levels/ID” with different synths, but fades into Avicii’s track at one point. The transition is awful which is clearly why this is a snippet and still not the final cut, but it leaves the possibility of them sampling Avicii’s track. Hopefully before the song is officially released they’ve figured out the instrumental or cleared things with Avicii’s camp this time, unlike the Leona Lewis case.
Regardless looks like we’ve got a huggeee radio banger in the works from two of the premier hit makers, Flo-Rida & Taio Cruz.
Electro, Hip-Hop | Flo-Rida – Good Feeling (Shout)… Remix to Avicii’s “Levels”
Posted by BIGLIFE on June 23, 2011
This is outrageous. The fact that Flo-Rida aka the king of kings when it comes to club bangers threw a verse down on Levels is borderline monumental for Avicii. Unfortunately this could be bad news for some of us who’d hate to see the young producer cave for the mainstream pop artists. With that said, I don’t think he’ll be letting anyone interfere with the integrity of his sound anytime soon. While this version leaves a bit to be desired it’s still a worthwhile listen and perhaps even a worthwhile addition to your music library if you’re looking for a spiced up version of the original. I’ll be patiently waiting for the official release before passing any more judgement.
