Flo-Rida is an undeniable serial hitmaker, but his one flaw is that his songs may be too “commercial” for the more dance music-inclined fans. Well, NYC/Boston’s remix mastermind Kasum looks to bridge that gap with his official remix of Flo-Rida’s “I Don’t Like It, I Love It.” With a feet-shuffling, bouncing bassline and the original’s sing-a-long lyrics working together, Kasum once again fuses pop and EDM into complete bliss for his first official remix on Atlantic Records. The remix will be officially released on June 16th, but Kasum lets us have an early preview ith the full stream above.
FYI | Will.I.Am ft. Chris Brown “Let’s Go” Steals Mat Zo & Arty’s Rebound
Posted by Middy on April 16, 2013
I was seriously debating on giving this song any pub at all because it deserves to be relegated to bottom of the music totem pole without anybody noticing. But that is the problem, nobody notices and nobody cares that such a great song from two of the best up and coming producers was so wantonly stolen by will.I.am and his band of merry writers. But why this one, Pitbull “samples” songs all the time, Flo Rida the same, it is really nothing new in this climate of heavy sampling in modern pop music. But, when big money is tossed around to shut people up and the threat of big label lawyers coming down on a “small time” artist like Arty or Mat Zo, they are almost surely going to settle on this, instead of facing the reality of going after Interscope and all of their legal might.
Anjunabeats DID NOT clear the sample so there is a case against will if they want to fight him. Maybe it was another producer who snuck this one in there, but I really don’t see how a large sample like this could have snuck by everyone at such a large label on a release as big as this. They either felt they could get away with this, or thought they could bully Mat Zo and Arty out of their own music. It remains to be seen if that will happen, but as the day continues, it seems as though a fight is brewing and there may be some high powered lawyers joining the side of Arty & Mat Zo. I can see exactly why Mat Zo deleted his twitter account yesterday because would have gone apesh*t on will.i.am. Stream both tracks to hear the obvious theft and then after the jump hear ANOTHER theft of Sandro Silva & Quintino’s “Epic”, which is sadly kind of old news by now because it has been done so many times.
Featured, Progressive House | Introducing: Vicetone
Posted by Middy on July 26, 2012
I would like to introduce you guys to Vicetone, two 20 year old producers from Groningren in Northern Holland (they just keep on coming). Their productions are flawless with full bodied, top of the line melodies, crisp bass lines and well organized transitions, builds and breaks. They only have 3 productions on their Soundcloud page and they are all must haves — showing that they are only going to release their top of the line work. They use vocals just right, molding them to their deftly crafted melodies. Their most recent remix of Adele’s hit “Someone Like You” exemplifies that with a soft build with agile key play, dancing alongside the vocals. It then moves into a break of a sublime melody with intricate layers and a hard clap. The remixes of Flo Rida’s hit single “Whistle” and Calvin Harris & Ne Yo’s “Let’s Go” continue this trend of well crafted, uplifting melodies and superb bass lines. The full version of the “Whistle” remix can be found on their Soundcloud page. Check all of these out and be on the look out for more tracks from these guys in the future!

Glitch | Flo-Rida- Let It Roll (Video)

“Flo-Rida is the Nickleback of hip-hop” -Spice
Is there a more hated individual in the hip-hop world than Flo-Rida? I mean talk about sell outs of all sell outs. Sure, he’s making Maybach money, but I doubt he’s even being invited to the BET awards anymore. Even if he was, I’m not sure he would even show up. I’m sure he has weed carriers homies from his previous hood that still run in his circle. Do you think they’re really feeling these dance songs? I’m sure they just go along with it because they’re on the payroll. The only reason I’m posting this video is because Keith Apicary. Are we really supposed to believe that Flo-Rida watches Keith Apicary videos all day? The calculated moves by Flo-Rida’s management in the attempt to go viral are painfully obvious.
Pop, Videos | Silver Medallion – Wild Ones (Flo Rida Cover) [Music Video]

If there are two bastions of political and artistic purity in the world, Silver Medallion says they must be Flo-Rida and Will.I.Am. In his latest cover, he channels them both of them with all their depth into his ode to autotune rap and pop house purity. The accompanying music video features some lost footage from the last two years of Silver Medallion shows, including some from before we lost the other half of Silver Medallion, Carnegie, in a car crash in 2011. With some production from Chi Duly with bits of the original and Silver Medallion’s unique vocals, this latest cover is not one to skip over. Download the song below and become a fan of Silver Medallion on Facebook.
Progressive House | Jack Back feat. David Guetta, Nicky Romero & Sia – Wild One Two

Nicky Romero & David Guetta release their latest single together taking apart the single from Flo Rida & Sia “Wild Ones” and making it their ow by revamping the beat and utilizing Sia’s beautiful vocals to perfection. This really should have just been the song in the first place, taking out Flo Rida and taking the song to unseen heights. Nicky Romero & David Guetta construct this instrumental perfectly, incorporating the piano melody from the original track, as well as the vocals from Sia, while adding a sturdier bass line and synth chords that fit perfectly into this song making it dance perfection. It does not become too poppy or too much of a house song, just on the line between the two, so expect to hear this song for quite a while.

Here is a Bonus remix of the original track from the young dutch Dj/producer Vida. This remix has been supported by Hardwell in his 50th Hardwell on Air show, while Vida’s other tracks have been supported by the likes of David Guetta, Nicky Romero, Deniz Koyu & others. This is very good remix with a smooth synth melody to accompany Sia’s stunning vocals.
