Alternative, Electro | Erik Hassle – Talk About it (feat. Vic Mensa)
Posted by yabishcic on February 5, 2014
Celebrating my first post in a while with some Erik Hassle & Vic Mensa. After four weeks of movin’ around the country and making it safely back to California, I FINALLY have internet, which I’ve been without for quite awhile…So long stone age!!!
Off his upcoming “Somebody’s Party EP” set to release 3/4/14, Erik Hassle has dropped some seriously intimate songs. I’m not one to jump and post a ushy gushy article either, but this song has rubbed off on me the last couple of days and the beat is simply to die for. Enjoy your afternoon while I enjoy my Facebook feed… And this song for that matter.
Chill, Electronic | DAILON – Trips (Ion The Prize Flip)
Posted by BP on January 28, 2014
Ion The Prize, from California, has put out a trippy remix of Dailon’s “Trips” for us today. He gave the song more of an upbeat feel than the original track, and made it sound a bit more complex. You can still hear the chord progression from the mellow original, but with new drum work and vocal samples. His take on the track lends way to a higher pitched melody and quicker tempo as well. The ambient piano section at the end is very pretty. Grab this one for free right off Soundcloud!

Last week, Dr. Fresch released 2 tracks off his EP “Dreamin” and “Float,” and yesterday the California native released his full 4 track EP for free, including “What You Need” and “Amelie.” If I had to describe Fresch’ sound it’d be contemporary disco with hints of deep-house, in other words sexy shit. Get down with the doctor, and get your 4 day weekend started right. This is a must listen and a must download!

Check out this new rock infused progressive house record “Young Forever” by California producer Justin Michael featuring vocals from Phillip LaRue. Justin Michael names his style “Rocktronica” and if I were to compare his sound it would be Switchfoot meets Swedish House Mafia. This was sent in via submission, and this is quality music, so I’m sharing it with you guys, enjoy! Must listen and get that free download!

Progressive House | Elephante – Pretty Lights (ft. Rohan Kymal)

Today, I introduce you to Elephante. Hailing from sunny California, Elephate is an EDM producer, specializing in a big room sound. His latest dance floor hit, “Pretty Lights” comes complete with a stomach-thumping bass-line and jabbing synths. The deep vocals from Rohan Kymal really round off the track and make for a fantastic piece of art. Enjoy, “Pretty Lights” and hold on tight for the intense buildups and breakdowns that are sure to have you on the edge of your seat.

Chill, Hip-Hop | Radical Something – Cheap Drink
Posted by admin on July 6, 2013
As it has probably become apparent the California-trio, Radical Something, is a favorite of mine. It’s been a while since we’ve had any new beach-y material, however, back like they never left RadSo unleashed, “Cheap Drink”. Josh Cocktail croons on the hook, highlighting a problem that I’m sure many of you have struggled with in the hot and expensive summer bar scene, followed by two verses from Loggy and an electro-reggae laced instrumental produced by Big Red.
The guys have been on a roll this summer, seeming to thrive in their natural sunny element. Since Radical Something is taking a break from touring for the majority of the hot and steamy months, I’m sure you’ll be seeing plenty more new music from them very soon.
If you enjoy the song, I’d recommend supporting Radical Something on iTunes here, otherwise scoop the free download above and vibe out!
Drum & Bass, Preview | Rusko – Lift Me Up (Preview)
Posted by Mach on June 25, 2013
Since Rusko released “Thunder” I have been wondering what his next out of this world single would be. This track is going to be huge. OWSLA is pulling in the best of the best, and Rusko clearly had to get his hands on a few of Kill The Noise’s signature synths. Rusko was one of the first bass artist I got into, and he has done nothing but maintain his status as one of the best since I first heard him. “Lift Me Up” releases July 2nd. He will be doing an extensive US tour this fall with Roni Size and Dynamite MC from Florida to California. Dates after the jump.
