It has been a little less than a month since D-WHY’s all-original free album Don’t Flatter Yourself dropped with a star-studded cast of producers and features. Now he has returned with a brand new video for “Ballad Of An Asshole” produced by G.O.O.D. Music’s rising star Hit-Boy. You can read more about D-WHY’s thought process on the song and video on his Tumblr. Check out the video above and be sure to grab Don’t Flatter Yourself for free here.
Dubstep | Metric – Artificial Nocturne (Love Thy Brother Remix)
Posted by Mach on June 20, 2012
The duo Love Thy Brother has done it again, blowing away minds with their amazing melodic dubstep works. Taking a great track from Metric and making it better, I am glad to see the two keep the incredible vocals of the original. The Rock infused Dubstep sounds incredible, a work of art.
Dubstep, Hip-Hop | Bassnectar – Vava Voom (Ft. Lupe Fiasco)
Posted by Mach on March 26, 2012
Today Bassnectar and Lupe Fiasco dropped their collaboration single off of Bassnectar’s upcoming album, ‘Vava Voom.’ The album art (below) is a trippy play with the lettering, took me a few minutes to figure out the working of the letters…not that I didn’t know it says ‘Vava Voom.’ Lupe joined up with Bassnectar last summer to do Bass Island in NY, which I did not have the chance to go to, but I am sure it is what sparked this sick collaboration. The way they have set up obtaining this track is you have to pre-order the album, kind of sucks, but we don’t make the rules. ‘Vava Voom’ drops April 10th.
Progressive House | Syntheticsax & Mike Prado – Feelings of Spring (Extended Mix)

Russians just know where it’s at when it comes to electronic music. The Saxophone from Syntheticsax makes this track the amazing art it is. Just one of those house tracks you throw on and just let it take you away.

Dubstep | Florence and the Machine – Cosmic Love (Cemoa Remix)
Posted by Mach on February 22, 2012
I know R Rated is going up later today (which is epic by the way), but this remix could not wait. This just so happens to be one of the first remixes that Cemoa has done, and it is absolutely breath taking. I think that even if you usually don’t find yourself dipping your ears in dubstep, this track is for anyone willing to give it a chance. Special thanks to T for hitting me up with Cemoa’s soundcloud and an obvious thanks to Cemoa for this gorgeous piece of art. Check out Cemoa on SOUNDCLOUD.
Alternative, Hip-Hop, Indie | WZRD (KiD CuDi & Dot Da Genius) ft. Desire – Teleport 2 Me, Jamie
Posted by W8 on January 31, 2012
Its been a pleasure watching musical genres of all kinds go from an abstract state into one colorful art form. There’s no greater evidence of this than Kid Cudi, known for dabbling in a variety of sounds and tempos, never could he simply be just a rapper. Teleport 2 Me, Jamie leans towards being an alternative indie record, and far from ever being acknowledged solely as hip hop. Actually, this track happens to sample from one of my favorite indie records, Under Your Spell by Desire. That’s a great thing, right when the game seems to have lost its oxygen, Kid Cudi’s musical diversity enters with a breath of fresh air.
Get it on iTunes.

Dubstep, Electro, Hip-Hop, House | Seven Grams of Snow
Posted by Mach on January 25, 2012
With winter now at full force for those of us that live in the snow fall areas, it only felt right to assemble a shredding playlist for the skiers, snowboarders, and you hard core sledders…how ever many of you still exist. Gurbeats, Dro (longtime fan of FNT, and creator of the art above), and myself threw these tracks together to create this sweet playlist. Seven Grams of Snow provides chill runs for those that want them, while other tracks make you feel like you have the same tiger blood as the great Sheen. The final out come of the list is a great blend of hip-hop, electro, house, and dubstep. Even snuck in a few oldies everyone will have fun listening to again, and also a few tracks I’m sure you haven’t heard. There is no set order to this playlist, shuffle it up anyway you want to suit your snow surfing style. The playlist is spilt up into 3 parts for downloading because there is a total of 64 tracks. Why 64 tracks you ask? Simple, no one wants to listen to the same 2 hours of music all day on the slopes.
