Who says festival season is coming to an end? With Halloween right around the corner, and more festivals on the way, it’s clear that what we knew as festival season is becoming a year-round tradition. Electric Paradise is one of those festivals that is happening well outside of the typical summer season, but that’s not stopping them. While a large amount of the world is cold in December, the Dominican Republic enjoys warm tropical weather, which is perfect for some dance music-driven revelry, especially when the festival venue is on a beach. With 20+ world-class electronic music artists, including both DJs and live acts, Electric Paradise is seemingly living up to its name, and it’s sure to prove itself further in its second year, as it brings together music, art, food, design, technology, story-telling and paradise. Mysteyland USA, which is taking place over Memorial Day Weekend on the Woodstock ’69 grounds, is no doubt one of the hottest festivals in dance music right now, thanks to its unique blend of music, art, and culture. With headliners like Diplo, Dillon Francis, Kygo, and Porter Robinson all slated to take over the main stage, there’s no doubt that the second coming of Mysteryland in the States will not disappoint. While the festival features main stage talent that is hard to beat, the onus of Mysteryland has always lied in the underground, with up-and-coming acts like JackLNDN, who they have tabbed for their latest mixtape. Armed with his style of dreamy house, JackLNDN delivers a stunning hour-long mix of feel good tunes, featuring Pete Tong, Justin Jay, Peking Duk, and more. Photo Finish / Republic’s Clinton Sparks released the cover art to his upcoming “ICONoclast” EP, and we couldn’t be more excited about this project. In addition to the cover art, he also released the tracklist (featuring some serious big-hitters) for this much-anticipated album. When Lizzie McGuire kissed Gordo on top of that hotel roof in Rome in the Lizzie McGuire movie I just lost it. It was so obvious he was crushing hard and to see him finally toss it in there made my bros and I all very happy. The feeling of surprise Gordo must have felt in that moment is what I feel right now as I write a post for a big room track. Riggi & Piros are among the upper echelon of the (thankfully dying) big room sound and have decided to give away a track for free. It is titled “WOW” and has the worst cover art I have ever seen. I don’t know what they were going for but it is not erotic in the slightest. As far as the song goes, it’s largely typical big room stuff. It is also good though. I dislike big room but Riggi & Piros have managed to momentarily convince me otherwise.

With nothing more than an mp3 file and a cover art, this is how this track was submitted to me from an unknown email address. Too good to pass on, I uploaded it up on my personal SoundCloud to share with ya’ll. “Moves Like Ms Jackson” is a smooth tech house, deep house record incorporating samples from Outkast’s many classics over the years! If you have any idea who is behind this, hollar at me, I need to know! This is hands down a must listen!

Damion Daniel, Ernie Gaines and Mike Philson teamed up with Ton Def records to release their big room progressive house banger “To The Moon” along with a Miami remix, and a remix by Pa_Triot. Blending R&B and hip-hop with electro-house makes for a catchy tune that’ll have you singing “Cause girl you take me highhh to the moon!” pretty much anywhere.
