Chill, Hip-Hop, Indie, Pop, Videos | The Lonely Biscuits – Everybody
Posted by J_Salzer on November 4, 2012
Incredibly meaningful video/track from The Lonely Biscuits. They originally recorded this over the summer, in New Jersey, and decided not to release it. Well, I guess it was meant to be, or maybe the Biscuits were very good meteorologists, because there couldn’t a better time to release a track like this. It’s a feel good song, and no doubt many people are downloading it and donating to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy, which I would encourage all of you to do. Here’s what The Lonely Biscuits had to say about the release:
“We wrote this song in the summer of 2012 in New Jersey. The song is about moving on and looking up when we cannot control the situations that we are going through. We have had a surreal experience with this song and video, considering this town is now in shambles. We were never going to release this song because we could not connect to it and did not realize the meaning in the lyrics that we had written at the time. However, after Hurricane Sandy hit, we noticed that there is something much deeper within this song that was meant to spread positivity and uplift everyone’s spirits during this time of tragedy. There has been some serious fate that has taken place while making this song and video and deciding not to release it, and we feel that it was made solely to help the victims of the storm. There is more than just our music in this song, there is love, hope, and a meaning that we did not control and cannot describe. All proceeds will be going towards helping rebuild the communities affected. Peace and Love Biscuits.”
Hip-Hop, Rap | Kendrick Lamar – The Heart Pt. 3 (Prod. by Tae Beast)
Posted by J_Salzer on October 20, 2012
Nobody can touch Kendrick Lamar right now. I’ve been accused of being “on his dick” by many, many, readers. Although I’m very offended(not) by that, it doesn’t change my opinion or (non homosexual) love for Kendrick Lamar. His album, “good kid, mAAd city,” will without a doubt be one of the most complete projects of 2012, and I encourage everyone to support the Compton native when it releases tomorrow. This track is no different, packed with signature Kendrick emotional bars and an eerie beat. Grab the download below courtesy of TDE Entertainment.
Dubstep, Moombahton, Preview | Rusko – Like This

Party man, Rusko after having an extremely successful new album now has a new FREE EP dropping November 4th. His new EP titled “KAPOW,” I’m sure will be another great reflect of Rusko’s love for dance and bass. This is a preview of one of the EPs track. It is a fun Moombah track, filled with grooving potential. Rusko’s team has stated that if you think this song is good just wait until you get to hear what else is on it. Awesome.
House | Jeremy Olander – Norrsken
Posted by Middy on October 15, 2012
As part of Toolroom Records’ ADE compilation, Jeremy Olander has released his next single “Norrsken” or Northern Lights in Swedish. First premiered on EPIC Radio episode 004, Jeremy Olander continues his hallmark house tracks that build and build with a sturdy bass line, subtle atmospheric melodies, gentle, playful arps and chopped vocal bits. Jeremy Olander has been on fire lately with releases like The Rose Law / Rorschach EP and “Audio Bug“, so expect more in this strong finish to 2012 from the young Swedish Pryda Friends asset.

Events, Indie | Austin City Limits: A Foolproof Guide
Posted by mimada on October 12, 2012
This weekend, Fresh New Tracks will get back in touch with its indie side at the 11th edition of the Austin City Limits Music Festival. ACL primarily focuses on folk and indie music, but this year’s much-talked about lineup features icons from every generation and genre, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Avicii, The Black Keys, BASSNECTAR, Alabama Shakes, and more. The three-day festival, showcasing over 130 bands at eight different stages, will be a significantly more laidback atmosphere in comparison to the earlier 2012 festival season, but after some of the outrageous, mind-blowing shows we’ve seen this year, this might be exactly what we need.
Moombahton | Bro Safari & ETC!ETC! – The Clap (Will Bailey Remix)
Posted by Spice on October 10, 2012
Praise the lawd: some top shelf, grade A moombahton at last! The Trap Takeover of 2012 has not been especially friendly to the 112 bpm genre, so Will Bailey’s bouncy, laser-heavy remix of Bro Safari and ETC!ETC!’s “The Clap” is a most welcome addition to this Wednesday morning. Break out your dancing shoes and get the free download below.

Trance | Ferry Corsten feat. Betsie Larkin – Not Coming Down (Dash Berlin 4AM Remix)
Posted by Spice on September 17, 2012
The sixth single from Ferry Corsten’s album WKND drops today, and it’s one that should fall squarely in familiar territory for anyone who’s attended a music festival during the past six months. Ferry has made the dreamlike “Not Coming Down” a centerpiece of many of his livesets since the beginning of the 2012 season, but now the slow and melodic mainstay gets a slick new treatment courtesy of Dash Berlin. The 4AM remix maintains the luminous quality of the original while adding to the drama and intensity with bright, catchy synths and an enormous build that surges through the chorus. It’s out now on Beatport and is set to drop on iTunes and other portals on October 1st.
