It’s been a minute since we heard from G. Curtis, but over the summer he released his debut LP album, Maximum Volume. I was very impressed with the project and don’t think it got the full credit it deserves. G explores with Pop, RnB, Electro, and a bite size bar of rap. In addition, he has Sam Adams, Cal (of Timeflies), PJ Simas, & Cam Meekins among other features that give several tracks some added flavor. Here’s the video for “We Made It”, which apparently has been coined the new anthem for the Dallas Mavericks championship run. I was unaware to this point, but this was probably my favorite solo track off the album and the video is just as impressive. #BurnInHellLebron

RiRi returns with visuals off her first single off Talk The Talk, which quickly rose to the top of the charts thanks to great prodution from Calvin Harris and phenomenal delivery from Rihanna herself. The video is just as great as the song as it shows Rihanna venturing into the “hopeless places” in hopes of finding love. Dark at times, Rihanna stimulates viewers by maintaining her sexy composure, showing how love is like a drug. It’s definitely one of the deepest videos I’ve ever watched from Rihanna and I don’t think the song could have been represented any better.

Silver Medallion’s “All I Ask” is set to be DJ Benzi’s first official release from his label Get Right Records. The tracks fuses of dubstep and pop in an incredible and the unlikely addition of Shwayze who is not known to jump on EDM tracks as much is a nice touch. The full single package will be available October 11, 2011 on iTunes and Beatport and will be featuring remixes from Mickey Fortune, Codes, Flufftronix (Luvstep), & Lazy Ants (Dr.Gonzo).

I’m calling No Homo on this post before it even begins. Ladies, bail me out here…
Following her fiery debut with single “Whip My Hair” with “21st Century Girl” which did not ignite as much success, she has returned with her third single titled “Fireball” off her debut album. Ironically, the 10-year old prodigy tags Nicki Minaj for a verse for what appears to be the newest party track. Personally, I find it strange/wrong that Willow’s making party tracks before she can even pack her own lunch, but hey, when you have Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith as your parents, I guess you can do whatever you want. On top of that, she’s signed to Roc Nation, so expect Jay-Z to be building yet another “artist”, much like J. Cole. Chances we see a Cole feature on Willow’s album?

Just when you thought Lil Wayne may have his swagger back after we heard his feature on B.O.B.’s “Strange Clouds”, he hops on a Jonas’ brother track. The unlikely duo remixes Joe Jonas’ recent “Just In Love” song as Weezy drops some PG-13 lyrics for the kids. I guess I can’t knock him cause I’m sure this song will blow up on the radio, and these remixes are becoming more and more prevalent.

For all of you begging Justin Timberlake to return to his musical roots, here’s a sub par treat for you. JT hasn’t released music in several years, but people are anticipating a comeback. Personally, I think this track kinda sucks, but I’m sure girls will eat this shit up.

You really don’t see many animated music videos these days but leave it up to Smokey Robotic to make one for their song “S.R.” off their The Shark & The Helicopter LP. This incredible video is composed of 4,000 hand drawn pictures created by Rachael Freedman. Really amazing work and it brings a lot of meaning to the song with the images she depicts.

Probably the only girl i’ve seen pull off that hipster haircut she’s sporting, I’m sure Biglife will disagree, but I’m into it. Regardless, this girls on the cusp of blowing up. She was on Simon Cowell’s show X-Factor and was the first one with some actual talent. While half of you might think she’s another white girl Kreayshawn relying on her “unique swag” I think she’ll go somewhere. Rumor has it her upcoming album has collabs with The Runners and Will.I.am…keep your eye on this girl, should be interesting.
