Hip-Hop, Pop | Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry ft. B.o.B.
Posted by Grubeats on December 20, 2011
Nicki let’s the dog out of the cage on her newest single off her sophomore album, Roman Reloaded, set for a February 14th release. Amidst switching lanes between her multiple alter ego’s, she practices what has become her signature strung out sound, recycling her “…ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuld” as she first quoted in Big Sean’s “A$$” Remix. The album is already shaping up to be as good as the first with rumored features from Wayne, Mary J. Blige, Birdman, Ricky Martin, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears.
P.S. Nicki Minaj definitely takes the cake for dirtiest lines of 2011. Despite that, will we see her performing alongside Madonna at the Superbowl next year? Listen for a short line that might suggest just that.

Katy Perry has seen unprecedented success since the release of her second studio album, Teenage Dream, garnering 5 record breaking singles while she now aims for a sixth with Bobby Ray. B.o.B. takes us off the blocks and caps off the end of the track with another short verse. If I had to guess, I’d say this track hits Top 40 on the radio charts as well.

Electro, Pop | Wynter Gordon – Dirty Talk (90s Finest Remix)
Posted by GMONEY on December 14, 2011
One thing that people tend to overlook when it comes to 90s Finest, is the production talent of lead man, Steve Morris. This remix of Wynter Gordon’s killer track Dirty Talk, exemplifies Steve’s ability to add extra dance-floor punch to an already epic track.

While De-Lor is still riding high on the recent release of his debut mixtape, J’adore, opening up for several prominent acts and recently headlining his first show in Boston, he continues to release new visuals from the project. This video gives us a look behind the scenes of Sebastian creating “Cruel”, shot and edited by Arthur Johnson. Although De-Lor has released some electro pop hits, he is no stranger to acoustic instruments and is a very talented musician as well as singer and producer. Hip-Hop, Pop, RnB | Chris Rene [X Factor]
Posted by Grubeats on December 8, 2011
For anyone who has been diligently watching one of America’s hottest new shows, The X Factor, probably knows what Chris Rene is bringing to the table. A 28-year old recovering addict making a run at a $5 million recording contract has been impressing me since day one and I feel it’s only fair I share his story with my FNT family. Channeling his past struggles and adversity into his own original music, Chris combines pop/RnB and hip-hop into something of his own. If I had to compare him to one recognizable artist, I’d have to say Mike Posner, only judging on the style. I think the possibilities are endless for Rene and even if he doesn’t win the X Factor competition, he’s going to be signed by someone and certainly still make major hits. I did some digging and found a couple tracks from the ‘garbage picking-hip-hop singing-Santa Cruz phenomenon’ along with several rips from his performances that may also tickle your fancy. If you’ve been following you know how inspirational of a story this is becoming and I only hope Chris Rene applies his talents in the right places. Do Work Son.

If you have yet to like the duo on Facebook, or haven’t even downloaded their mixtape, then you should get on that.

Pop, Videos | E-Hos & Patrick Donovan – For Tonight (Music Video)

I just got introduced to these two. At first glance, you would think the pairing of the two is an odd combo but it works. I am definitely looking forward to hearing more from them. “For Tonight” is the first single off their upcoming EP coming early 2012.
Girl Fire, Pop | T-Pain ft. Ne-Yo- Turn All The Lights On
Posted by GMONEY on December 2, 2011

I haven’t heard tracks like this from T-Pain since he was driving in mini-cooper in his “Buy You A Drank” video. I’m fist pumping like a champ, the music has me amped, I’m catch leg cramps. As a bonus, I’ve included the final/mastered version of “It’s Not You It’s Me.” Am I on fire with my posts lately, or am I on fire? I’m convinced I’m the Jay-Z of the blog game.
