Naughty Boy - La La La (Ft. Sam Smith)I am usually not one for Pop, but this track will have you moving, grooving, and singing along. The hook really gets to you hooked…seriously. Don’t let the genre scare you away, this track is worth every second of life taken to listen. “La La La” is being released by Virgin Records UK in May, day not yet known.

Chris Hurst - Tiny Dancer (Elton John)“Tiny Dancer,” one of the many great hits from legend, Sir Elton John, just got an awesome welcome to the future makeover from Chris Hurst. His timing couldn’t have been any better for the weekend. Elton John isn’t dead but there is no better way to honor him and his music than to just go out and dance. Enjoy.

Electronic, Pop, Reggae | Cris Cab – Heaven

Cris Cab - HeavenHot new single off of Cris Cab’s upcoming mixtape, “Red Road”, dropping April 1st. Cris Cab is no April fool, this song is catchy as ever. His last mixtape “Echo Boom” was a great success and I can only imagine that he plans on trumping that with this new one. “Heaven” is a wonderful Reggae/Pop original with a little taste of Electronic production thrown into the mix. Cris Cab’s voice along with his acoustic guitar skills make for a Spring Break worthy beach jam.

When it comes to Nick Luebke there is no doubt this past year has been big for him. From having his remix of “Call Me Maybe” go viral blasting him off into the blogosphere, to being featured on X-Factor as well as performing shows with the likes of Mike Stud and more. Now that the young Madison, WI native has finally completed college he’s reached that point in the road where he must choose whether or not to pursue his dream in music, or head into the everyday career world. This challenge he’s faced with laid the foundation for this first single, “End Of The Road” off his upcoming EP.

Hip-Hop, Pop | Jared Evan – Are We Almost There Yet? (Prod. by Statik Selektah)

Posted by on February 22, 2013

jared evan are we almost there yet freshnewtracks

One of my favorite up and coming hybrid artists, Jared Evan, shares the first cut off his collaborated project with producer Statik Selektah.  At only 23, the NY native has had an adventurous career, initially signing with Interscope, having his music featured in TV spots, to releasing several solo projects and now working on a collaborative effort with one of the game’s most respected producers.  With the title of the upcoming project, Boom Bap & Blues, Statik cooks up a beat driven by a heavy bass line, snare kicks and smooth keys as Jared soulfully sings his first verse before bursting into a secondary rap verse.  Asking the seamlessly daunting question, “Are we almost there yet?”

“Statik play the record so they hear what I say, I’m from New York but I’m headed west no Kanye,
With a back pack if my fans talk then I chat back and I bogart like the rat pack”
