Chill, Indie | Of Monsters and Men – Little Talks (Thomas Jack Remix)
Posted by VMan on October 8, 2013
The Aussie Thomas Jack is as it again with the remix game, and he’s either been reading my posts, or he just knows what’s good, cause this remix of Monsters And Men’s record “Little Talks” is exactly what needed to be done. All of these hit indie records deserve the remix treatment: throw some claps on there, some light piano chord progressions, a wind instrument of your choosing, and you can send that straight to the dancefloor. Look forward to catching his live set at Webster Hall October 22nd, on the East Coast leg of his Fall 2013 US tour. Must Listen and Must Download!

House, Indie | Two Door Cinema Club – Changing Of The Seasons (Belarbi Remix)
Posted by VMan on October 5, 2013
Wish I was more knowledgeable on Two Door Cinema Club, but thanks to Parisian producer Belarbi’s remix of “Changing Of The Season,” I am now properly introduced to their sound. There’s a growing trend lately of remixing indie records into dance tunes, and Belarbi does the trick with this one. If you’re into light and sexy tunes with a hint of French house, consider yourself served for the day. Now if only there was a free download…Either way, this is a must listen! Enjoy your Saturday!
Electronic, Indie | Mansions On The Moon – Full Moon EP
Posted by yabishcic on October 2, 2013
Mansions on the Moon dropped their first album ‘Paradise Falls‘ in late 2010 with some killer tracks that made people instantly bandwagon. 3 years later… and they’re still coming out with quality music that keeps to their style and does their overall image justice. ‘Full Moon EP‘ is a compilation of their 2 latest songs with a undertone of pop and overtones of electro-hop along with lyrics that are relatable and quality. Give them a listen and you’ll be a insta-fan too.
Electronic, Indie | FMLYBND – Come Alive
Posted by VMan on October 2, 2013
“Come Alive” by FMLYBND, that’s the track of the day right there. A 6 piece band from Isla Vista, CA who just want to make music that’s what FMLYBND wants you to know. If you want a description of what “Come Alive” sounds like, just think of that new indie-electro sound that has been making waves these past years, lead by acts like Passion Pit, MGMT, Capital City, and more… I’m a big fan of this sound and look forward to hearing more from this great band! Must listen and cop that free download! If you love what you to hear, support the group by copping their album Gold on iTunes today!

It’s Sunday, which means you may need something chill music to relax to. However, Breaking Bad is coming to an end, which will elevate blood pressure and heart rates worldwide, possibly cause a few panic and heart attacks, par for the course. This soothing remix from Passion Pit will do the trick to help calm you down.

House, Indie | Zanski x Bombs And Bottles – On Gold
Posted by BP on September 12, 2013
“On Gold” is the second track on Zanski and Bombs And Bottles two song EP called “We Built This City”. It’s composed of two tracks that contain the same base structure, but one is mixed and mastered by Zanski and one by Bombs And Bottles. I had trouble categorizing this track and eventually landed on something like neuro indie house…ish. It’s very unique and very ear pleasing despite the genre placement troubles. The vocals are really a standout and it’s free for us to download!
Indie, Pop, Videos | Jon Bellion – Ungrateful Eyes

After teasing us with a ridiculous in-studio video, Long Island swiss army up and comer, Jon Bellion shares the first single off his sophomore album set to drop later this fall. After setting the bar high with his debut effort, Translations Through Speakers, the indie pop star looks to continue escalating into the big leagues. Producing, writing, and recording himself, there’s no question marks looming over JB’s talent – the kid really can do it all.
“Ungrateful Eyes” is the next step in his journey. “I made a hundred grand this year, clap clap, so what” personifies what Jon is all about. He’s in it for the music, and we all have a reason to be excited for that. Daps to GRVTY for putting together yet another unreal set of visuals. Visionary.
