Deep House, Indie | Marcio Lama Delivers the Sweet Taste of ‘Melrose’
Posted by JT on April 10, 2015
Marcio Lama has made it a point to demonstrate his versatility as a producer. ‘Melrose’ is a pure rendition of this statement. It’s blissful symphonic collection of bells, wavey synths and the seductive voice of Binks delivers a work of art. This insinuates an atmosphere of positive vibes and summer sunshine. The Dominican Republican native side-steps away from his comfort zone but to no one’s disappointment. This will feed anyone’s addiction for something fresh.

I’m Canadian and I’ve never been to the Golden State, but if I was to ask for some audio-visual perspectives I can only imagine that La+ch’s beach-inspired ‘California’ fits the bill. Previews from his album, set for release Tuesday, March 31st, 2015 are matched by his single releases as they have consistently showcased quality productions that have me very excited. Having us wishing for days of California beaches and good vibes, give ‘California’ a spin and come away with La+ch as we wait for the full album on its way.
Alternative, Chill, Indie | William Bolton – Far Away

Addicting; that is just one of the many thoughts I have in regards to the latest offering from the next big thing, William Bolton. Unique; an adjective that truly encompasses what his sound is. Bolton, not to be confused with everyone’s favorite baby making music, Michael Bolton, brings old school to the forefront and clashes it with synths, keys and riffs that transcend any specific genre or period in time. Repeat; what this song will be on for quite some time in my car. Enjoy the free download via William’s SoundCloud and be sure to peep his previous single, which also happens to be addicting ‘Dream At Night‘.

Since their arrival on late 2013, Academy has absolutely amazed with each single, but the one thing never received regularly were visuals. In January the duo unleashed their first set of visuals for their single We Ain’t Never and today the duo teamed up with director Kris Roller to drop one of the more creative music videos we have seen in quite some time for their single Hold Me Down.

Hailing from sunny LA, California, the 4 man band Max and the Moon was thrown on my discovery radar this morning, and I must say, their track “Harps” is a quality tune, with all the right vibes, and all the right feels. On that alternative/indie sound, venturing into synth-pop territory, if these guys keep it up, I have no doubt they’ll land a radio hit sooner than later, so give this track a listen, and support by purchasing it on iTunes.

Alternative, Indie, RnB | LAUV – The Other

‘You have the voice of an angel’ is what I said when I first heard LAUV; No, I am not John C. Reilly and I am not talking about Will Ferrell in Step Brothers. Ok, thats not even what I said, but, ‘Holy shit, I didn’t know you could sing!’ was what I said when LAUV gave me a sneak peak of his debut single a few days prior to its release. Formally known to those in the industry for his EDM producing skills under a different stage name, LAUV is coming out of the gates swinging with his debut single ‘The Other‘.
With a voice you’d expect to be in the next big boy band, ‘The Other‘ consumes you from the first few notes all the way through to the last. There was no doubts about his production skills but he has absolutely outdone himself putting his writing skills on display. LAUV is going to be huge, very huge.
Alternative, Chill, Indie, Pop | William Bolton – Dream At Night (ft Dillon Ashton)

The only thing better than good vibes is music that can uproot any moment and inject great it with vibes. William Bolton, formerly known as Times New Roman, accomplishes that time and time again. His unique style and versatile voice always comes through with classic records and Dream At Night is no exception to that. The production is extremely laid back and really lets ‘Billy B’s’ voice shine as he glides you through a night dreaming of the most popular spot on the left coast, California.
