Bass, Electro, Pop | Ayokay calls on Quinn for his newest single “Kings of Summer”
Posted by admin on August 2, 2015
Quinn is not a new name here at Fresh New Tracks. His latest EP Change of Scenery was covered here as well as across the internet on numerous magazines and blogs. However, the producer who provided Quinn with the spacey-pop backdrop for his music is often overlooked.
Today we shine some much-deserved light on Ayokay, the futuristic producer whose sound is vibrant, diverse, and bold enough to stand out amongst the many “bedroom” producers on SoundCloud.
“Kings of Summer” allows Quinn to take a backseat, and give the reigns to Ayokay to really show his chops as a producer. The song is funky and bright enough to lead you to believe we have far more summer to bask in.

Chill, Hip-Hop | Billy Chambers keeps things light and refreshing with Breakdown
Posted by admin on August 2, 2015
Billy Chambers is someone I’ve had my eye on for a while, and who has made multiple appearances on Fresh New Tracks. When Billy connects, he connects. He tows the line of pop and rap, using his rapping as a tool rather than the be-all and end-all of his music.
In “Breakdown” Billy expresses some of his successes and tells stories from thus far in his musical career. The bubbly production accompanies his croning and makes for a catchy, exciting and entirely new sound. “You’ve got a whole lot of love, but a broken heart.” sings Billy, showing his talents stretch beyond just being sonically pleasing and in to a lyrical wittiness.
Stay tuned for more from this young DMV representative.
Alternative, Chill | Aer – Keep You Here (Video)
Posted by admin on August 2, 2015
In preparation for their newest album One of a Kind, the Boston duo Aer drops off “Keep You Here”. An alternative reggae-rap song that entices listeners with soft-sung melodies and booming drums to accompany the hook.
While the video doesn’t add too much depth to the song, it’s a great look in to the setting of the song and shows that Aer is just as positive and happy as they’ve always been. Perhaps a highlight of the song is the short bridge towards the end which comes in with a light trumpet before returning to the upbeat chorus.
If you pre-order their upcoming album, here, you will receive an instant download to “Keep You Here” and two other songs!

Starting his rap career at the ripe age of 15, the now-23 year old ClarkAirlines has had plenty of time to come in to his own. And it shows. The unique sound crafted by the Chicago native is something fresh and enjoyable to listen to in today’s soundscape.
The expressive vocal tone paired with a witty, yet hard hitting writing ability make “GoodTimingYeah” a standout, and also showcase a snippet of what to expect from ClarkAirlines’ forthcoming project Trill Air.
Electro, Electronic, Future Funk, Future House | Listen as Take A Daytrip Ventures to Los Angeles in “Calling”
Posted by admin on July 28, 2015
The duo Take A Daytrip (formerly Daytrip) have taken a small hiatus from their travels of the world. Perhaps they were homesick, perhaps they were tirelessly in the studio, but regardless, they are back.
Today, Take A Daytrip ventures out to the sunny shores of Los Angeles. Pulling inspiration from funk and dance music alike, Take A Daytrip create a unique sound spectrum of intense synths and powerful guitar.
Like most of their solo work to date, the song tells a story and through the twisted vocals and highs and lows of the song we can pull out emotion and meaning. Read what the song means to each of the members, and listen to “Calling” below.
“‘Calling’ was inspired by our time working on music in Los Angeles last fall. We started to discover that what we’d spent years doing for fun was beginning to make people beyond our friends and family take notice. Exciting opportunities, challenges, and distractions all presented themselves. We realized we’d have to sacrifice some things we love in order to turn our passion into a full time job.” – DenZ
“The track starts with the excitement and the feeling of purpose when you find your calling, but ends in the solace and recognition of what you’re forced to leave behind.” – Hugh Cosby
