Chill, Electronic | The Weeknd – Wanderlust (Snakehips Remix)
Posted by Nick on March 1, 2014
I have literally been obsessed with this remix for the past 24 hours. Literally. And I don’t mean the figurative type of literal that sorority girls use (e.g. – “Oh my gosh, I am literally dying right now.”) – I mean that I have been bumping this track non-stop for the past day, praying it doesn’t get old too quickly.
Throwing down a funked-out version of The Weeknd’s “Wanderlust,” the UK-based homies Snakehips will have you on your feet as soon as the vocals fade in, making it a prime addition to your party playlist. By far my principle nominee for the track of the week, turn this one up loud. Literally.

Exclusive, Featured, Trap | Gutter Brothers – WRCK [Exclusive + Download]
Posted by Nick on February 27, 2014
It’s definitely been too long, but the Gutter Brothers are finally back with a new tune, following their Beatport chart topping EP “Dat Ass.” The original track features deep, twerk-worthy bass blended with precisely chopped M.I.A. samples, skillfully creating a sound you’ll want to party to all weekend. To add to it all, it even has early support from Notixx, KickRaux, and Brillz. Luckily for you, the record is up for free, so make sure you grab a copy – just try not to “WRCK.”

Jersey Club, Trap | Milo Mills – Ocean Gang [Download]
Posted by Nick on February 25, 2014
I don’t know what it is, but I think it’s really cool when artists mix genres. What’s even cooler, though, is when they end up doing it really well. Luckily, today we have a prime example of this from the man himself, Milo Mills, who just dropped a new original that features a potent medley of trap and jersey club. Already with support from Diplo, DJ Benzi, Complexion, & Plastician, you’re going to want a taste of this banger.

Bass, Trap | T-Pain & Yung Joc – Buy U a Drank (Andrew Luce Remix) [Free Download]
Posted by Nick on February 18, 2014
With yet another banger from his (now) biweekly installment “Humpday Heaters,” the wonder-boy Andrew Luce has done it again, this time with a remix of the 2007 classic “Buy U a Drank” by T-Pain. The tune features clean piano chords laced over deep, sensual bass, taking you back and forth between a mixture of baby-making and party vibes. I know it’s post-Valentine’s day at this point, but if you’re still looking to impress that special lady, it’s probably worth grabbing the free download on this one.

Chill, House | The Red Hot Chili Peppers – Scar Tissue (N’to Remix) [Free Download]
Posted by Nick on February 18, 2014
I’m not entirely sure how I missed this, but if you did too, I highly recommend you come check out this remix of The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Scar Tissue” – like right now. N’to, a producer from the depths of France, released this housed-up edit about a month ago, and it’s probably one of the coolest twists on a classic track that I’ve heard in a while. So – kick back, relax, and throw this one on repeat for a little while: I promise you won’t be disappointed.

One of the great things about the internet today in relation to the music industry is that everyone around the world can be exposed to international artists, and everyone can see how genres evolve on a global scale. If you’re looking for a chilled-out record that will rattle your trunk a little bit, you’ve definitely found your match – and just your luck, it’s up for a free DL.

Bootleg, Review | Miles Medina: New Fame, New Track
Posted by Nick on February 10, 2014
Miles Medina, the 26-year-old breakout artist from the San Francisco-Bay Area gave us some time on the phone the other day to talk about his career so far, what’s going on now, and what we can look for in the future.
Following a burst of fame after the release of his “My Neck My Back” remix, Miles had artists all over the map throwing down his track. He even went on to describe it as a “staple” in Lil Jon’s set for a while, and that it was rumored EDM legend Diplo had spun it a few times. Check out the banger for yourself:
Just a couple of months later, Miles would release another hard-hitting remix of Rich Boy’s “Throw Some D’s,” gaining him even more visibility. Shortly after this, he signed on to Monster Products as an official artist, just in time to close out 2013. Since then, he’s performed in a variety of venues, such as the Soundscape Music Festival in Tahoe, playing alongside the likes of ETC!ETC!, DJ Chuckie, Borgore, and Carnage. His performing experience spans beyond his solo career, however, doing shows with Mad Decent-featured and SF-native producer Panic City under the alias URFRIENDS. When asked how his time in the limelight will affect the duo, Miles commented that he and Panic City have “told each other that they are never going to stop doing URFIRENDS,” and “it’s never going to fall apart.”
Just this past week, Miles released a new track that encompasses a variety of genres, creating a fully developed sound that will no doubt go off in the club. The remix of Gorilla Zoe’s “Hood N***a” is up for free download on Miles’ Facebook page (and it’s definitely worth it if you’re looking to turn up a little bit). We asked Medina what we could look for in the coming months, and he said he plans to release tracks at least once or twice per month, and to look out for some “big,” unnamed collaborations. Don’t forget to give Miles a follow on his social media outlets: you won’t be disappointed.
