A ton of producers and industry 20-somethings are major fans of anime and manga. One producer who falls in the manga fan category is VenessaMichaels who had the privilege of partnering up with Viz Media on the creation of her new original. “After Hours” was inspired by the manga series of the same name. Venessa brings her usual jersey club flare to the mix, but I can’t help but to feel that this track is a bit different from her usual works. TOBYOH brings it back with style and grace via his new single “Change.” Ovcoco, Steel, and TOBYOH are a force to be reckoned with and a match made in heaven.

Future Bass continues its growth this summer as producers from all genres try their hand at the exploding genre. This isn’t the first great tune from Trentino and it certainly won’t be the last. I know from my Barnard going sister, that gender shouldn’t be mentioned, but damn, VenessaMichaels kills it with the prods, cause her latest “I Need That” featuring Joelle James and Tay Jasper, is straight money, so I just want to shout out girl power, and if you’re ever speaking of the dope up and coming producers, male or female, you better include VenessaMichaels, she deserves it! Today’s track discovery is by Venessa Michaels, a producer from Los Angeles, which reminds me of an edgier Ariana Grande or Mariah Carey track, and when I mean edgy, I mean a more trendier sound. Kiana Brown lends her vocals to the Jersey Club/future house production, and the finish product makes for a quality record that could very well crossover to the pop world. I’m a fan of this, and I’m surprised it has so little plays, this is a must listen and a must download!
