Pop | Alxxa Teams Up With Gazzo For “Umbrella” Cover
Posted by Matt Keene on September 18, 2017
We had a chance to meet Alxxa over the weekend in Los Angeles and she’s the real deal. Her brand new take on Rihanna & Jay-Z’s “Umbrella” has us instantly hooked. Of the Gazzo produced cover she said:
“’Umbrella’ is such a badass song, and Gazzo and I knew we could do something different with it. That’s always the test of a good song, whether it’s stripped down, produced out, thrown into different genres, does it still work? Rihanna definitely got it right with this one and we had a good time putting our own spin to it.”
Keep your eye on Alxxa. She’s on the rise.
Future Trap | R3HAB & Khrebto’s “You Could Be” Is Fire Flames Goodness
Posted by Matt Keene on September 15, 2017
Featured today on “New Music Friday”, R3HAB and Khrebto team up to drop “You Could Be”, a future bass banger that we’ve had on repeat all day long. It checks all the boxes. Female vocals? Check. Future bass drop? Yep. Future House Synths? Done. It’s a derivative of everything else out there right now, but it’s a well produced derivative. Bottom line, it’s a great track that you need to get familiar with. Immediately.

House | MK’s “17” Is A Ridiculous Smasher That We Can’t Get Enough Of
Posted by Matt Keene on September 15, 2017
MK. What a legend. The guy just dropped “17” and it’s straight quality, just like we expected. “17” is one of those tracks that you listen to with the windows rolled during the golden hour on the 101 trying to get home Friday rush hour. It’s a stellar track that grows on you the more you listen. It’s one of those pop a pacifico by the pool while you grill out with your mates and your main check (while your side-chick texts you). If you haven’t heard “17” you need to smash that play button courtesy of Selected.
Be sure to put this bad boy in your Spotify playlist.

Tune in and turn up.
“Slow Motion” is a serious tune.

19 year old R&B/Pop sensation Khalid came out of nowhere in 2017, literally. From being virtually unknown to becoming quite possibly one of the biggest ‘new stars’ in the music industry alongside names like Sean Mendes and Post Malone. His voice, soulful, his smile, infectious. Khalid seems like the type of guy you want to become friends with, and thanks to Justin Escalona we can take a look behind the scenes and see that the 19-year-old superstar Khalid is truly someone you want to hang with.
Escalona who garnered a massive following before the age of 18 as part of the internationally known FaZe Clan, has since started his own collective called 1340, and has grown his following to well over 240k subscribers on YouTube. Escalona moved to Los Angeles after graduating high school where he has since attended USC’s school of Film. In his short few years in LA Escalona has grown his network and become friends with some of the most influential artists in the industry as well as key contributor to the growth of tomorrow’s stars.
The day after his 21st birthday Escolona decided to drop this short film, an ode to his friend Khalid to simply say, “I’m proud of you bro”.
