Cover, Hip-Hop | Propane Lv – Diced Pineapples (Rick Ross Cover)
Posted by J_Salzer on September 4, 2012
UGH. Propane Lv hits us with his latest huge remix/cover. This time taking on the massive(literally and figuratively) Rick Ross’ hit tune, Diced Pineapple’s. Propane easily impersonates Wale, Ross, and Drake, but also puts his own little spin on it, as he always does. The production was handled by Chi Duly, so you know it’s good. Propane continues to create unique covers that stand out in an over-saturated YouTube world by staying true to the original song, while also creating his own signature style. Peep the video above and follow him on twitter here, as a loyal follower, I can tell you that he’s worth your follow.
Electro | Noosa – Walk On By (Sound Remedy Remix)
Posted by J_Salzer on September 3, 2012
You know something is wrong when you see me posting electro. Or whatever this is…I’m new to this genre. I haven’t been able to find anything hip-hop to blog for the past week, I even asked artists to spam my Twitter in hopes of finding something. But alas, here we are. I’ve always enjoyed Sound Remedy’s remixes. They’re not as grungy and dirty as some of the other music I hear. They’re always clean and well done, with very slow, deliberate builds, with vocals that keep you from getting bored. Grab the track below for free courtesy of SR and enjoy all 7 minutes of it.
Hip-Hop, Pop | Hoodie Allen – Feel The Love (Prod. RJF)
Posted by J_Salzer on August 27, 2012
Wow. RJ Ferguson(Hoodie’s DJ/Producer) absolutely murdered this beat. Ridiculously catchy beat, killer verses from the young up and comer. Hoodie has found his target audience(college/high school kids), and is catering to them perfectly, while still having depth in his music. Hoodie has found his lane, and he’s not slowing down anytime soon. Grab the download below for free courtesy of Hoodie and RJ.
Chill, Compilation, Cover, Indie, Reggae | Cris Cab – Live…In the Moment (Free Album)
Posted by J_Salzer on August 26, 2012
I’ve been a fan of Cris Cab ever since I first saw his covers over a year ago. It’s crazy to see how far he’s come. He’s one of the most talented singers right now, in a genre that is largely over saturated, Cris finds a way to stand out and be unique. Today, he gives us a free album full of high quality live versions of his set from a show down in Miami. Wyclef Jean makes an appearance(and drops an insane freestyle) on “No Woman No Cry,” although I’m not sure who sounds more Jamaican…Cris does a damn good Bob Marley. Throughout this entire compilation, you can feel the passion and hear how Cris effortlessly works the crowd. A true artist can record AND perform. Cris Cab is a true artist.

Alternative, Indie, Videos | Connor Zwetsch – The Little Things (Video)
Posted by J_Salzer on August 25, 2012
FNT’s own Connor Zwetsch hits us with her newest video offering. I have a little bias when I say this, because Connor is from my hometown, and is a close friend, but I think she has one of the best, most unique voices out right now. Her covers are insane, while her original stuff always has hard hitting lyrics, and smooth instrumentals played by Connor herself. She has a single releasing soon, with an EP to follow. Make sure you like her facebook page below to stay updated, but if you’re too lazy to do that, have no fear, FNT will always get you the scoop.
Albums, Chill, Hip-Hop, Rap, Videos | Jetpack Jones – Afterburners (Video)
Posted by J_Salzer on August 19, 2012
Jetpack Jones gives the visual treatment to one of my favorite tracks off his latest mixtape, Afterburners. The song pulls a sound byte from one of the best inspirational videos of all time, the “as soon as you want success as bad as you want to breath” youtube video that I’m sure most of you have seen overquoted on Twitter and Tumblr. Support the Jetpack movement and download Jetpack’s latest project below.

For this week’s Timeflies Tuesday, we get a great behinds the scenes look at what goes on in Cal and Rez’s life. They talk about their music, their organic growth, their fans, and their history. As someone who has been listening to Timeflies since their first ever Tuseday(represent), I couldn’t be more inspired and awed by what they have done. Shouts to their manager Jared, for the early tip on this, and for making a cameo in the video.
In addition, Cal and Rez have released the official Timeflies Music iPhone App! Fully integrated with a custom Timeflies Twitter stream, exclusive music and videos, every Timeflies Tuesday at your finger tips, streams and links to purchase all of their music, as well as the latest news, tour dates and locations, fully equipped with a map to tell you how far you’ll have to travel to catch the fellas live!
