    After teasing us with a ridiculous in-studio video, Long Island swiss army up and comer, Jon Bellion shares the first single off his sophomore album set to drop later this fall.  After setting the bar high with his debut effort, Translations Through Speakers, the indie pop star looks to continue escalating into the big leagues.  Producing, writing, and recording himself, there’s no question marks looming over JB’s talent – the kid really can do it all.

    “Ungrateful Eyes” is the next step in his journey.  “I made a hundred grand this year, clap clap, so what” personifies what Jon is all about. He’s in it for the music, and we all have a reason to be excited for that.  Daps to GRVTY for putting together yet another unreal set of visuals.  Visionary.

    I’ll start off by saying the song Timeflies teases us with in this tour announcement video sounds like crack on crack on crack.  Recently sharing the news that they will be back on the road (yes, already), Timeflies will be joined by Chiddy Bang along with ________(undisclosed special guests) on a nationwide tour kicking off on Octover 9th in Boston.  With the tour announcement also came the expected announcement that Timeflies sophomore LP, Warning Sings, is also en route for a fall delivery.  Swoon ladies (and gents), swoon.  Jump the break for the full tour schedule and grab your tickets here once they go on sale this Friday (pssst, check their Facebook & Twitter for presale passwords).

    SUBMiT & Pharoh, the two MC’s making up the free flowing hip hop trio, STNDRD.  Both have impeccable flow and when they are in front of the camera, their body language only emphasizes the meaning of the lyrics.  Combatting with that ping rap approach, the two shred the @OddCoupleBeats production, handing the mic back and forth, each delivering again and again a great verse.  I’ve liked these guys (and girl) since I first heard them and each time they deliver new material, they continue to impress me.  “We Want It All” is available for free on SUBMiT’s mixtape, Window Seat [Download Here].   I also suggest copping Pharoh’s recent release, Jungle Fever [Download Here].

    If you’ve been following Logic, the VMG movement, and the openers on the tour, you may have become familiar with Miami, FL rhymer, QuESt.  QuESt is by no means a new artist to FNT, but he’s been diagnosed with “the skill” and will be the next artist to receive the “VMG treatment”.

    QuESt has been patiently waiting behind the scenes, working, learning, anticipating his first move with the independent label that recently birthed Logic, Jon Bellion, 6ix, and GRVTY.  Returning with his first video single, “NEATO Season” over Childish Gambino’s “Unnecessary”, Q carries his newly acquired torch as he sets forth on his new episode, spitting flaming metaphors and bars packed with intellect.  NEATO; wondering what it is?  Never Ever Allow The Obscene.  The movement QuESt stands behind, the movement you will soon be following (if you aren’t already).  Enjoy this video and stay on your toes for much more to come from the next up.

    A week and change after releasing the audio for his first single, which was also the official debut from Wyclef’s indie label All Handz On Deck, the San Fran native shares the visual set for “Dazed and Confused”.  The intro had me questioning the direction of the video – dudes wearing pig masks, c’mon you didnt? – but soon after, the hog heads only solidified the songs message.  Dazed and Confused, who can’t relate?

    In his latest attempt to lay the mack on 21-year old pop goddess, Huey remix’s Selena Gomez’s radio burner, “Come and Get It”.  Huey seizes the opportunity to take a few stabs at Biebs – “Got Selena whippin’ in my beamer, damn shit changed, f*cked her on spring break and made her a believer, dang, hi Selena, I promise TMZ will never see the footage, but you can hit me cause I’ll always do what Bieber couldn’t.” Go get ’em, Huey.

    Wyclef’s latest business efforts include the birth of his independent record label, All Handz On Deck, which focuses on exposing emerging talent and contributing to their musical development.  Skiff is among ‘Clef’s chosen class of emerging talent, breaking ground by delivering the first single for this label entitled “Dazed and Confused”.  As expected, this one tracks back to the early 90’s when the infamous “Dazed and Confused” first graced movie screens.  Pulling inspiration from that decade of and infusing some jam band elements, “Dazed and Confused” is that care free joint (no pun intended) you’ve been waiting on.
