House | Benny Benassi Ft. Gary Go – Control
Posted by Mach on February 28, 2012
First, apologies for all the purchase music we have been posting, these past two days have been insane with the amount of good releases. I had no idea Benny Benassi was even releasing this track today with all its remixes, god I love surprises. Control is an incredible track, Gary Go, the same man responsible for Cinema’s vocals, just perfected another cover. Benny in my mind is a legend, I have heard he doesn’t exactly put on the best live shows, but with tracks like this, I’m still a huge fan. The remixes for this track are awesome themselves, Jacob Plant and Ianizer & Lemethy with the top two remixes. I have started to notice Benny Benassi’s slight attraction to dubstep, if you watch some of his live performances he tends to make a few drops, including his own unreleased dubstep remix of James Blake’s Limit To Your Love. I definitely enjoyed this track and its remixes, worth the listen for sure.

Electro-House | Pierce Fulton – Who Wants Spaghetti
Posted by Middy on February 13, 2012
If you are a Facebook fan you would have seen this earlier, but if not watch this video about Pierce and the life of being a touring Dj and trying to balance that with the life of a student. Still making waves from his highly supported “Pardon My French” EP and his “What Happens In Vegas” remix, the young up and coming American has finally released his single “Who Wants Spaghetti” on Cr2 records. With a pounding bass line, well constructed electro synths with layering of some pitched synths and a few well timed stops, this song is not one to be missed. Dinner is ready so get your Spaghetti.
Videos | De-Lor Performs “Luckiest Man” Live At Venice Beach

De-Lor Performs “Luckiest Man” Live @ Venice Beach from JadoreTeam on Vimeo.
Although De-Lor has been quiet as of late, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been working. De-Lor recently went out to the west coast to shoot his the highly anticipated video for “Beautiful Life.” Along the way, he made a stop in Venice Beach for an impromptu performance to serenade patrons of the boardwalk. Looks like there was one blonde in particular that really took a liking to the performance. As a bonus, I’ve included more behind the scenes footage courtesy of DJ Moneybags. Hit “read on” for more.
Videos | Rick Ross – Yella Diamonds
Posted by GMONEY on February 8, 2012
I don’t care what you kids at home who still live with their parents who listen to Lil Wayne religiously think, Rick Ross is the hottest MC in the world right now. The New Yorker recently said of the bawse:
“What matters is not the rap sheet but the rhyme, and the spin the m.c. can give to the trade. Ross’s success in mimicking drug lords has brought him the ability to live like one of them. Profiles have documented his large homes, his fleet of cars, his shopping sprees at watch stores, his solicitous entourage and flexible schedule. Ross may represent the final abandonment of hip-hop’s mandate to “keep it real,” a concept that goes by different names now but has not gone away. Perhaps listeners know that this is a version of “Miami Vice,” a show that Ross claims to have been inspired by. The appeal is less some kind of documentary thrill than Ross’s ability to transmit the confidence that comes from blithely running up roaming fees while driving a Rolls-Royce through Samoa.”
Basically, the New York Times is saying Rick Ross is a big ole’ phony with a perfect correctional officer attendance record. How can you blame them. It’s all true. That doesn’t matter though. Like all good pop music, rap is now theatre, and Rick Ross is simply playing a character. If you didn’t pick up “Rich Forever” the first time I encourage you to do so – as it will inevitably make you feel like you could be the biggest drug dealer in the world.

Progressive House | Otto Knows – Million Voices
Posted by Middy on February 8, 2012
The young up and coming Swede, my number one guy to watch out for in 2012, Otto Knows has finally released his much anticipated single “Million Voices” after many months of playing it out. A song that has been championed by Sebastion Ingrosso and many other big name Djs, it has all the makings of an early year anthem, so expect this one to be a staple of the first half of this year perhaps all of 2012. The name “Million Voices” derives from the vocal sample that Otto Knows used with a whole bunch of kids shouting and singing that works in perfect harmony with the rest of the song. The bass line flows perfectly with the vocals sample, while the various pitched synths create a euphoric feeling in this song that only grows on you. Link taken down, so get this amazing track on Beatport.

Alternative, Hip-Hop, Indie | WZRD (KiD CuDi & Dot Da Genius) ft. Desire – Teleport 2 Me, Jamie
Posted by W8 on January 31, 2012
Its been a pleasure watching musical genres of all kinds go from an abstract state into one colorful art form. There’s no greater evidence of this than Kid Cudi, known for dabbling in a variety of sounds and tempos, never could he simply be just a rapper. Teleport 2 Me, Jamie leans towards being an alternative indie record, and far from ever being acknowledged solely as hip hop. Actually, this track happens to sample from one of my favorite indie records, Under Your Spell by Desire. That’s a great thing, right when the game seems to have lost its oxygen, Kid Cudi’s musical diversity enters with a breath of fresh air.
Get it on iTunes.
